What you bring:

  • High School Diploma or GED (required)
  • Must be enrolled at the University of Iowa.
  • Preferred- Students from the Occupational & Environmental Health program within the
  • College of Public Health

 

Additional Information/Conditions:

  • Must be willing and able to comply with ENGIE’s policy with respect to COVID vaccination and testing
  • Must possess a valid state issued Driver’s License & clean driving record
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of  accuracy
  • Ability to safely lift up to 30lbs.
  • Ability to meet highest attendance requirements
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally
  • Ability to utilize computer hardware and software effectively

  • Must be able to detect and understand audible alarms, detect changes in noise levels of rotating equipment and portable radio communication.
  • Capable of frequently standing; walking; balancing; sitting; climbing (ladders, stairs, ramps, catwalks and the like as required); kneeling; pushing; pulling; lifting
  • Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to half and full-face respirators, fall protection equipment, hardhat, safety shoes, safety glasses, etc.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to extreme environmental conditions – heat, cold, humidity, noise, dust.
