Appropriate Applications Testing qualification or certification




Degree level or equivalent, preferably Information Technology or Computer Science




Qualitative experience of the application of testing, including System Integration Testing (SIT), Operational Acceptance Testing   
(OAT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)


Supporting Application Developers in the setup of test harnesses


Management and coordination of Test Analysts and their activities to support application maintenance and implementation projects


Experience of using recognised test recording and monitoring tools (Jira / Squash)


Working with 3rd Parties to deliver the test automation strategy


Knowledge and Skills


Knowledge of Testing methodologies – including interpretation of functional and non-functional requirements and translation into  appropriate test plans and scenarios 


Knowledge of Software Development methodologies (agile and waterfall)


Understanding of ITIL Release and Configuration Management 


Able to demonstrate a practical approach to problem solving


Proven ability to organise and produce work within deadlines


Knowledge of Automation including the implementation of UI automation frameworks using Selenium
