Organization:

DRM (Deal and Risk Management)  is the DC (Delivery Center) responsible for the maintenance and evolution of the Trading system. It evolves currently in the context of a migration from  its legacy IS (“Meteor”) to the target one (“GEMStone” based on Orchestrade solution).

DRM teams (+-150 people between Paris and Brussels) are responsible for:

  • The maintenance and evolution of deal management functions (external platform feeding, product modelling, trade-life-cycle management, physical position management)  on both trading IS.
  • The maintenance and evolution of Risk and Pnl functions : Pricing of the books managed by GEM trading and computation of the Risk figures (including VaR and Credit Risk), Reporting tools (based on ActivePivot).
  • The maintenance and evolution of Back Office and finance IS functions : Confirmation generations, Trade Reporting, Invoiving…


Role:

The main role of local DRM Team lead is to ensure the team deliver regular consistent IS software increments  on IS deal management functions consisting in bug fixes, enhancement  on existing functions or new functionalities (small projects and/or new deal management functions). He is also the local point of contact of the users, representing the global team.

This role is fulfilled with particular attention and expectation on robustness (technical and functional) , quality  of the delivered software , maintainability and performance of the delivered software.



Main Activities:

The main role of DMG core Team lead is to ensure the team deliver regular consistent IS software increments  on IS deal management functions consisting in bug fixes, enhancement  on existing functions or new functionalities (small projects and/or new deal management functions) .

This role is fulfilled with particular attention and expectation on robustness (technical and functional) , quality  of the delivered software , maintainability and performance of the delivered software.

Activities

  • Resources management :  team operational management (10+ internal + external consultant) , team skill management and staffing
  • Demand management : gather and maintain team backlog, prioritize team work regarding client request and manage relationship with other IT teams and external client (business and support functions), communicate status.
  • Process management: define, adapt and enforce team organization and methodology (including development best practices and ALM methodology)
  • Small project management: define suitable project organization, communication, functional and technical architecture proposal.

Challenges

  • Very numerous clients/subjects to be managed  : deal management functions are at the heart of the IS and impact almost every business and support functions
  • Team activity takes place in an evolving technical setup with both legacy and target trading IS running and the progressive decommissioning of legacy IS
  • Raising the team maturity in terms of software development standards (ALM, coding best practice)

Education and professional background:

Education

  • Mandatory : Master degree in engineering with a proven specialty in IT  or equivalent
  • Optional : additional master degree in Market finance

Background :

  • Mandatory : minimum 5+ years’ experience in market finance sector
  • Mandatory : minimum 5+ years’ experience in IT team management


Hard skills:

Mandatory :

  • Mastering of AGILE framework (ideally Scrum )
  • Mastering of ALM principle and tooling
  • Good capacity and field experience in applicative architecture
  • Previous in resources management : team lead , stream lead or IT management


Soft skills:

  • Open
  • Very good communication capabilities 
  • Analytical
  • Ability to convince
  • Compassionate, and you know how to manage/solve conflicts in a peaceful way


Languages:

  • Fluent in French & English
