ENGIE is looking for a Customer Engagement Specialist that has great facilitation skills, enjoys connecting with people, building and maintaining relationships. In this role, the Customer Engagement Specialist needs to be a great collaborator, with exceptional attention to detail, great planning/organization, and a self-starter. 

 

The Customer Engagement Specialist can have a background in workforce development, community engagement or education, both traditional and nontraditional educators, with special consideration to environmental and energy education.

 

For those that love to travel this role allows for frequent travel within Northern California and Central Valley, minimal overnight travel. Travel requirements may be delayed or postponed due to COVID precautions.

 

The position reports to the Customer Engagement Director and can be in one of our 3 local markets in Northern California, Sacramento, San Jose, or Oakland, CA.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Develop customer engagement programs with our internal sales, operations, and staff to fulfill customer needs
  • Help customers with grant submissions and awards.
  • Deliver the scope of work and maintain customer engagement budgets
  • Create and deliver:
    • Educational materials to train the customer
    • Community engagement activities
    • Facilitate workshops and community events
    • Communication platforms such as newsletters, webpages, etc.
  • Remain in regular contact with customers for the duration of their contracts
  • Maintain reports for all project impacts, pictures, and stories
  • Manage and vet trends in our various markets for growth of the customer engagement program
  • Manage and support different regional partners for local customer engagement programs
  • Carry out other duties as assigned

 

What you bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in education or environmental fields
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in education, environmental, community engagement, or workforce development programming
  • “Strategic Thinking” to develop and deliver complex programs to complex customers in a multitude of markets
  • Experience creating educational lessons and/or led successful community engagement activities
  • Experience in Common Core and Next Generation State Standards or have relevant expertise in community engagement programming or have executed workforce development programming
  • Working knowledge of conservation practices and trending environmental and human behavioral impact
  • Meet highest attendance requirements and communicate effectively written and verbally
  • Strong relationship building and customer service skills
  • Ability to travel 75% - 100% attend customer meetings and events
