 In this Business Entity, the Business Line Energy aims to grow its business by offering its customers and prospects attractive, competitive and innovative offers in energy in the widest possible range.

The Business Line Energy is responsible for engineering and consultancy services related to the development and realisation of global sustainable energy generation projects in  thermal power, transmission & distribution networks, renewable energies (onshore and offshore), hydrogen and natural gas infrastructure. These projects go from the pre-feasibility studies up to final commissioning of the installations, covering feasibility, basic design, detailed design, procurement and on-site construction follow-up. All over the world.

We are looking for new colleagues to reinforce our Sales Operations Team.

 

Mission 

  • You are responsible for the submission of attractive and innovating tenders and awarding new contracts. You understand clients’ needs and translate them in the right strategy to build a winning tender: price setting, selection of most suitable partners, propose the right project team etc... You lead the team assigned to the tender preparation (technical bid managers, sales assistant) and you interact with internal (legal, tax, HR,…) and external stakeholders (client, partners, subcontractors…) while challenging the price, scope and planning of the tender and managing risks, ethical considerations and opportunities. After tender submission, you keep track of our tender and are responsible until final negotiation and contract signature.
  • You are a key pillar in the Commercial organization and a linking pin between the commercial managers and the project managers. You help in identifying new opportunities and you give them a return of experience in terms of won/lost tenders, collaboration with partners, market price…
  • You provide leadership and process management and keep track of all components of the proposal submission. You work with and influence different stakeholders and ensure adherence to deadline. You lead in Ethics and integrity.
  • You are agile and comfortable in a matrix environment, putting both internal and external customer considerations at the center of your work. 
  • From time to time you may be required to work on the following energy related themes:
    • Transmission grids Development projects in Africa, in Belgium and South East Asia
    • Offshore High Voltage substations in Europe and South East Asia
    • Industrial grid connections
    • Solar PV/ Battery Storage projects development in Africa, Europe and US
    • Offshore innovation such as floating wind and hydrogen ecosystems
    • Other key energy fields as required

Profile 

  • Civil engineer/industrial engineer, with preferably some experience in nuclear engineering in an international environment.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in sales and/or business development in the engineering sector.
  • Good knowledge of both national languages. Fluent in English. Knowledge of other languages is welcome.
  • You are a natural communicator (both oral and written) and are able to explain complex topics in understandable language to your different stakeholders).
  • You are good at listening to customers, and anticipate their needs.
  • You have strategic thinking skills.
  • You have the sense of priority. You are good at planning simultaneous assignments and you are a good organiser, even in unexpected circumstances.
  • You are used to work under pressure with strict deliverables, requirements and tight deadlines.
  • You have a great capacity for multicultural human relations.
  • You are willing to travel abroad on short missions.
