Skills/ Experience required to perform role.

  • Adopts a consistent approach, checks the quality of work, and meets deadlines.
  • 5 years’ experience of Plant Operations – preferably within the heavily regulated oil and gas industry / Upper Tier COMAH / Power Generation / Chemicals / Pharmaceuticals / Heavy Industry.
  • 2 years operational supervisory experience.
  • Takes initiative to improve the performance/ efficiency of the Stublach facility.
  • Seeks regular feedback from all sources in order to drive through safety and operational improvements.
  • Facilitates and actively encourages the flow of communication between the various teams on site.
  • Identifies best practice (internally and externally) to deliver improvement actions.
  • Coordinates activities through prioritising and delegating.
  • Continuous improvement of Operations and Maintenance workflows to smooth the process as much as possible.

Relevant Education

  • Chemical/Process Engineering Degree or equivalent - Essential
  • Vocational / technical diploma in a related course - Essential
  • Safety qualification – NEBOSH General Certificate in Health & Safety

  • Communicates with colleagues and Line Managers and shares information.
  • Communicates with external parties to ensure smooth and safe functioning of activities.
  • Identifies best practice (internally and externally) to deliver continuous improvement actions.

Reporting to       Head of Operations

Direct Reports   Shift Operations Team (x6) & Day Operations Team (x2)

There will be times when you may be required to undertake additional tasks, duties, and responsibilities within your capabilities. The company reserves the right to vary your tasks, duties, and responsibilities at any time and from time to time according to the needs of the business. 

However, you will not be assigned to duties or required to perform services which you cannot reasonably perform, or which are outside the range of your normal skills and experience.
