The Role: Operations Transaction Analyst II

Operations Transactions Analyst needed for a rapidly growing energy retail company.  A successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 - 5 years of industry experience and a detailed knowledge of retail energy billing and CRM systems.  Includes functional competence in all daily transactions and billing functions.

Essential Job Functions
  • Monitor Daily Enrollments, Transactions and Customer files
  • Assist in the maintenance of process documentation of all operation processes including but not limited to enrollments, customer service, billing, transactions, renewals, and collections
  • Assist Sales in coordinating resolution of issues by working with relevant groups to close issues.
  • Maintain a solid understanding of the various systems to mine data and assist with contract issue resolution.
  • Follow through on action required to resolve customer inquiries and issues.
  • Process add/delete/assignments for all segment of customers.
  • Back-up the Account Manager in account services tasks.
  • Handle early contract terminations and minimize financial impact.
  • Resolve customer exceptions for both inbound/outbound EDI Transactions.
  • Open/Monitor/Resolve MarkeTrak transactions for the TX market, ensure accurate processing, and redirect fees appropriately.
  • Gather and verify data against many different data sources.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to Account Manager
  • Comply with all Think Energy policies and procedures. 

Essential Physical Abilities

  • Ability to meet highest attendance requirements
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to use personal computer, calculator, etc.
  • Could involve some lifting.


  • Four year degree in business or equivalent experience
  • 2-5 years of retail energy experience related to customer operations and products required
  • Experience with working with billing vendor, EDI vendor and care vendor is a plus
  • Experience with Access Database/SQL is a plus.
  • SAP and/or Siebel Energy experience preferred
  • ESCOWare experience preferred
  • Knowledge of the Retail Energy Market and Alternative Gas and Supplier business practices and requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Exceptional attention to detail and time management skills
