General Job Requirements


  • The position requires the candidate to work effectively as part of a larger team in an infrastructure technology, operations and architecture group.
  • Requires you to make critical technical decisions to solve and engineer problem/solutions from a tiered support desk.
  • Position requires analyzing and reporting on business and technical problems and working with division IT directors for individual BU requirements.
  • Requires building and suggesting strategies for planning, engineering, documenting and presenting to management teams for the corporate desktop environment.
  • Requires knowledge of Citrix, VMWare, Virtualization technologies, Active Directory, Microsoft Operating Systems and Powershell scripting.



Specific ENGIE NA Job Requirements

  • Design, engineer, deploy, manage and administer the Ivanti Landesk/EPM server for the deployment of patches and application on a regular basis.
  • Expert understanding and packaging of ENGIE NA applications utilizing VMWare, Microsoft Installshield .MSI and Powershell scripts. 
  • Manage and maintain the Landesk remote servers for the ENGIE NA corporate image for use in North America sites.
  • Manage and administer the workstation environment for patching all ENGIE NA client machines located both in corporate and offsite locations along with providing reports on security status of workstations.
  • Package, test and deploy applications in a Citrix XenServer environment supporting several thousand users.
  • Work with applications teams and BU IT Directors in to troubleshoot and maintain applications deployed in the ENGIE NA client operating system environment.
  • Work directly with the client service desk to provide third level support for any escalated problems.
  • Provide metrics and reports to management of the status of the common operating environment and report to the Infrastructure and Service Delivery Manager.
  • Establish with hardware vendors, UI, hardware, security, operating system and mobile standards for ENGIE NA.



Leadership

  • Lead and manage the work activities of direct reports.
  • Strategic and detail oriented with strong technology engineering and customer service acumen. Translate and architect business requests into appropriate technology solutions.
  • Ability to assess, design and implement infrastructure solutions that meet business needs.
  • Experience working with leadership to prioritize company-wide system needs,  identify emerging information systems, security and telecommunication system technologies and recommend solutions for enhancing the company’s infrastructure
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent inter-personal, supervisory and management skills, organizational, project management and analytical skills for problem determination and resolution, and performance management skills
  • Carries out other duties as assigned


Requirements

  • Travel to office locations as required (20%)
  • Strong technical knowledge, leadership, and team management experience are required with strong service delivery and change management skills.



Essential Physical Abilities

  • Ability to meet highest attendance requirements
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to use personal computer, calculator, etc.
  • Could involve some lifting.


Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Associate degree in a computer related field
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 8 years’ experience in Information Systems
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in desktop engineering
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in desktop support/help desk
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience managing IT staff
  • Expert knowledge of desktop computing configuration including Microsoft SCCM, LanDesk, Windows 10 administration, Office 365, OKTA
  • Expert knowledge on enterprise client computing environment with mixture of Apple, Android, and Windows devices
