Role overview

  • Provide health and safety support to all ENGIE Services Divisions within NSW and to other regions as required
  • Support Employees, Supervisors and Managers in providing technical advice to facilitate continuous improvement opportunities in the performance of both leading and lagging HS&E activities and events
  • Assist with the development and implementation of a Quality system and coordinate the Quality related audit and accreditation/certification processes where required
  • Drive a culture of accurate and timely reporting of incidents & events and ensure that the investigation process is prioritised and clear corrective actions are confirmed and actioned
  • Leading and coordinating incident investigations, report production and ensuring implementation of corrective actions.
  • Assist with the preparation and communication of Safety Alerts following incidents for awareness, future preventative and training & development purposes 
  • Coordinate, and assist in developing and presenting company specific training programs including toolbox meeting topics based on training gaps analysis and business operational requirements
  • Process and review worker’s compensation claims in a timely manner and attend case conferences with external parties and internal conferences to discuss claim status and progress
  • Act as the Return to Work Coordinator ensuring suitable duties are available, communicated and formally approved taking any restrictions in to consideration whilst communicating with medical practitioners, insurance companies and rehabilitation providers to ensure early intervention, return to work to meaningful & suitable duties and continuing positive rehabilitation progress is achieved
  • Assist and support nominated HS&E projects by managing research and process timelines as required

The position’s requirements include:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Health and Safety
  • At least 5 years’ experience working as a Health and Safety as an Advisor
  • Return to Work and Rehabilitation qualifications and/or experience
  • Training in or experience in ICAM is desirable but not essential
  • High standard of written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to influence and drive a safety culture at all levels of the organisation and other stakeholders
  • Able to travel across Sydney metro, occasional regional and ACT, with a hands on approach
