your job Functions (DUTIES & Responsibilities).

  • Business Partner:
    • Part of the Executive management team with close co-operation with the local Regional Manager to provide strategic recommendations to develop the business
    • Advise on long-term business and financial planning: project execution and overall budgeting
    • Establish and develop relations with senior management and external partners and stakeholders: support and strengthen the local engineering and consulting team with financial information to keep or improve the project targets
    • Liaise with ME management and Execution teams to support identification of action plans on the different levers to improve performance on a continuous basis
    • Provide current performance analysis and forward-looking financial trajectory to business managers
    • Identify business risks and opportunities. Together with the ME management team, ensure proper monitoring is in place to mitigate the risks and capture any opportunities
    • Develop and ensure monitoring of KPIs by business segment is effective and consistent
    • Ensure review of profitability per contract is monitored with the relevant direct cost and SGA structure
    • The Finance Business Partner is also expected to participate to safety visits when needed

 

  • Financial Management
    • Assist with preparation of Management reports and other financial information; provide information to the Business Entity CFO within the agreed timescales
    • Ensure the financial monitoring of the Middle East (ME) business performance with key focus on the annual budget, latest estimates, strategic plans and financial KPIs
    • Prepare analysis and synthesis in particular monthly/quarterly business reviews, budget/PMT and forecasts
    • Lead budget and MTP processes
    • Ensure understanding of business drivers, analysis of complex financial topics, and impacts on key financial indicators
    • Follow up closely evolution of risks and opportunities to ensure accuracy of forecasts/best estimate
    • Follow international compliance standards and procedures applying the company’s corporate compliance programs and policies

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Education
    • A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in business controlling / finance and ideally with experience in finance positions both at operational entity and corporate levels
    • Master’s degree or equivalent in accounting or finance. Any additional training or degree is an asset (CPA, CFA, ACCA, MBA)
  • Language
    • Strong and excellent communication skills in English. One of the following languages (Arabic/French) is a plus
  • Experience and Skills
    • Successful track record in developing and proposing adequate business solution to senior management level
    • Solid understanding of business operations and processes
    • Business-minded and target driven
    • Rigorous, analytical skills and curiosity to develop knowledge of the business models and performance drivers
    • ​Ability to obtain and assess complex information in order to define risks and opportunities
    • Strong base knowledge of accounting, finance, and operational principles that enable to determine the financial impacts of complex operations and transactions
    • Solid budgeting/forecasting/reporting background and experience with managing multiple entities
    • Experience in working in matrix organizations, in complex business environments

  • Business Understanding
    • Knowledge of Construction industry and/or Engineering Consultancy business
  • Technology
    • Capabilities to drive IT digitalization within the region
    • Proficient in the use of MS Office (especially Excel with ability to build complicated tables)
    • (Advanced) knowledge of consolidation system (Smart, SAP Business Objects Financial Consolidation) and BI tools (SAP Business Planning and Consolidation) or equivalent which means ability to build and update analytical reports.
    • Able to work with modern communication and collaboration tools (Teams, SharePoint, PowerBI...)
