  • Can show high achievement in all areas of communications, including digital and social media. Have fostered collaboration, strong empathy and story-telling skills.
  • Able to interact, influence, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and management across all levels.  Proven ability to build strong relationships with journalists, influencers and a broad network to achieve results.
  • Can demonstrate that you’ve defined and implemented an external communication strategy that is aligned to a business strategy. And led and managed execution of communication tactics based on that plan.
  • Can be hands-on as required, with strong verbal and written communication skills. Can transform complex information into understandable, compelling messages, including press releases, pitches...
  • Have both a strategic vision and a strong ability to execute and deliver day-to-day. Able to adapt to change, willing to experiment and innovate. Can navigate ambiguity.
  • Success in operating effectively in a large, partly centralized, decentralized, and matrixed organization structure undergoing significant transformation.
  • Role model of the ENGIE Leadership Way behaviors of Bold, Open, Demanding and Caring.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Some travel required (up to 10-15%).

Essential Physical Abilities

  • Ability to meet highest attendance requirements.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to use personal computer, etc.
  • Ability to travel independently to field locations in ENA across US and Canada.


  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Communications, Journalism, English, Liberal Arts or Business
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Successful track record of designing a communication strategy and measuring its impact
  • Experience working for an impactful global business, preferably in the energy space
