ENGIE Solar ensures the procurement of the projects and supplies the major components (modules, inverters, structures, and scada).
He / She reports to the Head of Services Procurement,
in the procurement department of ENGIE Solar
The Lead-Buyer LTSA & SCADA’s mission is to structure and manage the following activities in an efficient manner:
  1. The worldwide procurement of Long-term Service Agreements (‘’LTSA’’) required for key PV plant equipment managed by ENGIE Solar such as Inverter and transformer Station, SCADA, panel cleaning solution, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), mechanical structures and tracker or module. These activities will take place at different project stages:   
    1. For costing pre-bid (pipeline);
    2. For project execution (backlog);
    3. Post project execution (for assets under operations).
  2. The development of robust LTSA costing pre-bid, to win projects;
  3. The development and modeling of total cost comparison between various equipment technologies and PV plant design solutions, allowing to reduce LCOE further and to maintain Cost leadership;
  4. The alignment of ENGIE Solar procurement processes for LTSAs with the vision and strategic goals of Engie and its multiple Business Units (‘’BU’’).  
Main Responsibilities
The overall responsibilities will be mainly to:
  1. Sourcing and Procurement
    1. Define procurement strategy and tactics and clarify technical requirement for the assigned services;
    2. Manage the execution of the following activities, in accordance with agreed processes/RACI and in coordination with the procurement teams looking after O&M General Contractors and key equipment:
      1. Support the sourcing and qualification of new Suppliers/Contractors;
      2. RFI, RFP / RFQ, tender process management;
      3. Supplier/Contractor Key Account Management;
      4. Negotiation, development and management of Supplier/Contractor Framework agreements (and standardization thereof), also addressing subjects such as  taxes, material or labour price escalation, currency fluctuation, payment, invoicing;
      5. Manage the consolidation of BU demands and plan the consultations for LTSA at the same time as Supply Agreements in order to select Suppliers/Contrators on a total cost basis and to maximize price discount;
      6. Assess LTSA prices considering business model assumptions in terms of WACC or inflation;
      7. Score Supplier/Contractor performance and report on Service Level Agreements;
      8. Reports on LTSA cost analysis;
    3. Ensure efficient interface and coordination with key stakeholders/ support groups starting ENGIE Solar (Project Management, Legal and Engineering teams) and BU representatives (and related Special Project Vehicules carrying the projects), but also: Metier CenGen, Procurement Group (DS3), Group corporate functions. 
  2. Supply Chain:
    1. Assist SPV/BU after handover to asset construction/ asset services, in the event of clarifications (spare supply, etc.), variations or claims, as agreed
  3.  General:
    1. Engage with ENGIE Solar procurement teams in China, India, UAE in order to deliver optimum strategies;
    2. Assist in the strengthening and digitalization of ENGIE Solar procurement processes;
    3. Develop of a robust costing for LTSAs pre-bid for the O&M, to win project;
    4. Develop and model of total cost comparison between various equipment technologies allowing to reduce LCOE further and to maintain Cost leadership;
    5. Execute best in class procurement, also sustaining ENGIE Solar ISO 9001 and 14001 certifications;
    6. Assist with other ENGIE Solar priorities as needed.
      Execute his/her responsibilities according to lawful and ethical standards, as referenced in Engie code of ethics.
Health& Safety specific accreditations or training
Maintain and comply with QHSE standard applicable to the industry.

    • 5-10 years of relevant services procurement experience
    • Minimum of 3 years in solar or wind sector, or working on energy infrastructure assets
    • Finance/business background
    • Familiar with ENGIE / Fortune 500 level of requirements in terms of procurement policies and processes
    • Experience with EPC companies
    • Experience with lean environment
    • Professional procurement accreditation such as MCIPS is a plus 
Skills and know-how:
    • Fluent in French and English, Spanish is a plus.
    • Financial competencies, familiarity with NPV calculation
    • Fluent with Excel and other analytical tools
    • Pragmatic in problem solving
    • Strong Project Management
    • Navigates easily in contractual and legal documents
    • Strong technical aptitude
    • Knowledge and understanding of renewable energy sector

Travel Requirements
This role is customer facing and will require travel to meet with BU representatives (worldwide locations), liaise with technical competency hubs (mainly France, UK), connect with suppliers.
