As part of its development plan in North America, ENGIE Energy Marketing NA, Inc. (EEMNA) is looking for a Director of Power Origination for its North American wholesale Gas and Power group.  The goal of this role is to manage and develop a team tasked to increase the wholesale marketing presence of the company towards North American power producers, utilities, LSEs, power B2B consumers, offering mid-marketing support, tailored structured solutions, credit facilities, and energy management and hedging services with an emphasis on the renewable space.

What you’ll do:
  • Manage and supervise EEMNA Power trading staff

  • Manage and supervise Pricing and Risk management of all power transactions originated by EEMNA

  • Develop and provide short-term market making to Engie North America retail business

  • Coordinate and support origination and product structuring staff

  • Strategize and coordinate with Natural Gas trading and fundamental analysis functions

  • Responsible for creating and developing insight and analysis into North American   power fundamentals with a focus on Eastern Interconnect

What you bring:
  • 10-15 years of general business experience
  • 5-7 years of power trading experience
  • Bachelors degree preferably with  business acumen
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • A strong working knowledge of fundamentals of ERCOT/PJM/MISO ISO’s

  • Practical working knowledge of FTR’s and CRR’s

  • Clear and effective communicator. Willingness to engage in dialogue and debate with colleagues

  • Can work autonomously and be flexible
  • Proficiency in Excel, VBA.
Additional Information/Conditions:
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally.

  • Ability to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy.

  • Ability to use personal computer, calculator, etc.

  • Could involve some lifting.
