The Job: Digital Marketing Advisor

The position will be responsible for driving company/brand strategy and positioning, customer experience, web enrollment and referral journeys, development of digital marketing campaigns, database marketing, customer engagement using segmentation, and focusing on optimizing the portfolio of the B2C retail business through acquisition, renewal, and actionable insights.

Essential Job Functions
  • Contribute to the company’s competitiveness and profitability by leading projects to optimize our customer experience, retention, and acquisition.
  • Take charge of thinkenergy.com web creation, development and maintenance.
  • Set the direction for customer segmentation, targeted customer acquisition strategy using demographic and psychographic data, and messages and offers using a data-driven approach across markets and segments.
  • Benchmark across industries finding new and innovative ways to onboard and communicate with customers.
  • Generate and/or coordinate creative for all customer facing systems and correspondence.
  • Develop Think Energy brand strategy and positioning to drive it to the next level. Ensure brand awareness in targeted markets, including development of strong positioning, advertising, marketing, PR, and media plans.
  • Collaborate with customer care team to lead the company's customer relationship efforts, and instill the voice of the customer down through the organization.
  • Direct the digital strategy across multiple digital channels for Think Energy.
  • Develop affinity marketing channels through A/B testing and involvement in the Think Energy Growth Team.


  • Proficient in HTML, Javascript, and Bootstrap.
  • Design and implementation experience in Website creation (Wireframing, graphics, coding).
  • Experience with Git, Azure Dev Ops (TFS).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure a plus.
  • Proven strong creative, strategic, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Experience developing and managing within budgets.
  • Experience in a start-up, high-pressure environment, delivering tangible results through optimizing cost to serve, retention, and margin strategy.

Essential Physical Abilities

  • Ability to meet highest attendance requirements.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to use personal computer, calculator, etc.
  • Could involve some lifting.


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Marketing, Communication, Graphic Design, Web Design, or Computer Science.
  • Professional background with 7-10 years of experience in Marketing and Web Development or similar discipline with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in B2C.
