Global Energy Management (GEM) is one of ENGIE’s 24 Business Units. At the heart of the energy value chain, we optimize the Group’s assets portfolio including electricity, natural gas, environmental products and bulk commodities such as biomass, while developing our external commercial franchise worldwide. We provide services in supply and logistics management, asset management by leveraging on markets, risk management, market access management, and contribute to market understanding, design and efficiency.

With a staff of 1,300, offices in 16 countries and 5 trading platforms, GEM has an extended geographical coverage in Europe, the US and Asia-Pacific and activities in more than 50 countries. The Communication Department is part of the Strategy and Communication Division.

Role / Goals of the job:
Support GEM business development and image through digital communication & marketing materials. Oversee functionality, efficiency, tone and relevance of GEM digital channels including websites and social media.
Reporting Line:
Contents, press and digital communication manager.
Main missions:
  • Manage, upgrade and update GEM external and internal digital channels: social media accounts (Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube), external website aimed at clients, intranet, Yammer page…

  • Contribute to the design of an external social media strategy and ensure internal and external community management.

  • Create, develop and coordinate SEO and SEM actions and campaigns.

  • Ensure the effective technical functioning of GEM digital channels, using websites’ back-offices (Sharepoint, Wordpress), together with web agencies.

  • Manage digital agencies, on current and future projects (call for tenders, briefings, daily management, regular meetings…)

  • Help providing support to business development through regular contact with operational teams with the aim to design relevant digital communication & marketing materials for our internal clients and present their expertise and service offers.

  • Manage digital end-to-end projects: specification note writing, budget and resources tracking, agencies management, milestones definition, setting of priorities, reporting, deployment and implementation, teams onboarding, external and internal promotion.

  • Develop a result-based culture. Help identify key metrics in line with overall communication strategy, monitor overall use of social media and analytics, and optimize digital communication strategy based on their measurement.

  • Be a key player in GEM’s digital acculturation: foster innovation and collective intelligence, develop new concepts and tools, coordinate workshops, develop specific training programs…

  • Produce contents and ensure update and consistency of editorial line. Conceptualize goal-focused digital campaigns and outputs across internal and external platforms and formats, including, but not limited to, videos, animations, infographics…

  • Contribute to implement, in coordination with all Communication team members, a planning of communications to produce focused, innovative, engaging content across digital channels and formats.

Education / Professional background:  
  • Education: Master Degree (Bac +5) in Communication
  • At least 5 years of experience in digital communication
Technical / Operational / Business Skills:
  • Digital (web and social media)
  • Project management proficiency, agencies management
  • Writing and synthesis skills: ability to manage and organize contents
  • Ability to manage, negotiate, monitor budget and to respect internal procurement processes

  Behavorial skills: high level of autonomy and sense of initiative, transversal work and team spirit, project lead and problem solving, result-oriented, capacity to convince and onboard people.

Languages and IT skills: fluent in French & English (written and oral), Office 365, Wordpress, Sharepoint. Graphic design and / or video skills could be a plus.
