Project Construction Director

Role Objective:  The mission of this position is to ensure the construction management of the Cuxtal II project by providing strategic leadership, managing risks, ensure a safe and complete execution of all pipeline work related to the project, collaborating closely with the stakeholders, taking into account Group’s policies, Engie management systems and project specific procedures. This position has close interaction with senior project management, leading the implementation of all pipeline work for the project.

Your Impact: As Project Construction Director, you will have the opportunity to directly contribute to our mission, playing a key role in :

1.     Overseeing the project construction to ensure its execution in a complete manner. Oversee all phases of the project, from planning to execution and closure, ensuring that timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.

2.     Lead and manage work teams, including construction teams, contractors, and subcontractors, to ensure efficient and effective project execution.

3.     Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with the construction of the pipeline, including technical, financial, and safety risks. Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.

4.     Ensure that the project complies with all applicable local and international regulations, including environmental and safety standards. Implement and oversee a quality management plan to ensure that all work is performed according to standards and technical specifications.

5.     Oversee the project budget, ensuring efficient use of financial resources and reporting any deviations to senior management. Ensure that all controls that mitigate risks (like INCOME controls) are well define and implemented.

6.     Collaborate and ensure an efficient interface with the acquisition of all necessary rights of way and permits for the construction and operation of the pipeline, working closely with regulatory authorities.

7.     Maintain effective communication with all project stakeholders, including client, authorities, local communities, and other interested parties. Establish and maintain proper relationships with key stakeholders.

Requirements:

Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is essential.

Project Management, Engineering Knowledge, Risk Management, Quality Control, Regulatory Compliance, Financial Management, Contract Management: Health and Safety, Stakeholder Management.

Planning, leadership, negotiation, problem solving, strategic thinking, effective communication, Stakeholder Management, Manages complexity, ensure accountability; Competent in conflict and crisis management, Strong interpersonal and communication skills, Critical-thinker and problem-solver, Persuasion, good writing and oral skills in English and Spanish.

 

 

Advanced Spanish

Advanced English

20 years extensive experience in the energy and/or oil & gas sector, particularly in the construction and management of large-scale infrastructure projects, is essential. This experience should include a proven track record of successfully managing complex projects from inception to completion
