What You Can Expect

As our Billing Resolutions Analyst II, you will be responsible for learning and supporting the products we sell, understanding applicable tax rules and regulatory compliance requirements, and troubleshooting and resolving customer concerns that impact billing accuracy. You will also be expected to accurately and timely complete routine tasks that affect contract pricing, financial reporting, and data integrity. Additionally, you will be exposed to and expected to contribute to key billing functions within independent and cross-functional team projects. You should be capable of working with our third-party vendors, both independently and in a team environment as needed, to provide best-in-class customer service for our internal and external customers. This role is based in Woodmere, NY, and reports to the Billing Resolutions Manager.

 

 

  • Review and provide instructions to the billing vendor for accurate billing and payment application. Manage customers on prepayment arrangements, calculating billed amounts and reconciling account balances for proper credit assurance
  • Follow the Sales Tax Exempt Process, including reviewing certificates, facilitating audit requests from the tax department, and determining if refunds are necessary
  • Execute internal controls, between billing and shadow settlement systems and analyzes variances and process refunds as needed
  • Research and correct discrepancies between the internal data warehouse and external billing system. Provide cross-functional support to develop end-to-end delivery processes

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • You hold a Bachelor's degree in Business or related field
  • A minimum of two (2)  years of business experience where you gain experience in billing processes, including reviewing and resolving complex billing issues
  • You have strong, extensive knowledge of retail energy operations, procedures, and regulatory standards, with direct billing experience
  • You are an independent thinker with experience in multiple markets and proficiency in SQL, macros, and MS Access
  • You possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, are detail-oriented, and have strong follow-up skills
  • You have a high degree of reliability, strong ethics, and are productive and efficient with fast turn-around
  • You are proficient in using multiple data systems and are a team player with advanced PC skills, including MS Office Suite

Compensation

Salary Range: $64,680 – $87,000 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
