ENGIE North America is seeking a Project Controls Analyst II. This position will be located at the ENGIE Georgetown University location and is situated within the Major Partnerships & Campuses (MP&C) business of Energy Solutions which grows and operates our long-term partnerships with universities, medical centers, and other institutional customers.

 

You will be responsible for the development, administration and implementation of two or more industrial/construction capital projects related to utility lifecycle or expansion for Georgetown University. Working in a self-managed team concept, the Project Controls Analyst II will be a part of the ENGIE team based at the Georgetown University campus and will be reporting to the Project Controls Director.

  • Integrate as a dedicated project controller assigned to work with Project Manager(s) to develop, support, manage and monitor cost & schedule elements of large capital projects across the Georgetown campus.
  • Use existing or develop processes and tools necessary to measure, analyze, and improve the performance of the capital projects
  • Follow-on support with accounting to ensure alignment of project forecast with current funding and billings
  • Assist with review and development, issuance and evaluation of contract change orders as required for their project tracks
  • Collaborate and assist on alignment of cost between planned, actual, and forecast
  • Provide detailed cost reporting daily or weekly updates, as required
  • Identify and evaluate potential changes and review of contractor bi-weekly invoices
  • Assist with update to projections on cash flows, staffing plans and contingency usage
  • Support the change control process, establishing the necessary forms, logs and expediting methods. Support the Project Controls Director on Finance, Corporate Governance and fiscal matters
  • Ensures compliance with Company’s internal rules and guidelines
  • Provide guidance and support to the accounting team during internal and external audits
  • Develop presentations for management project updates and discussions
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with ENGIE subsidiaries, partners, and contractors
  • Other duties as assigned

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Accounting, Finance or Economics in which you have gained understanding of work related to project controls: capturing data, presentation development, and cost / finance elements 
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in which you have been exposed to the construction industry or energy market experience in one of the following sectors: utility scale renewables, distributed generation (i.e. rooftop solar, etc.), energy services or construction, natural gas transportation or distribution
  • Basic understanding of variance analysis
  • Intermediate understanding of Earned Value Management

  • Demonstrated expertise in developing and utilizing detailed, Excel-based financial models
  • General understanding of the phases of civil or industrial construction work including associated contracts, contract types [GMP, FP, T&M etc.], contracts risk and mitigation
  • Must be able to multi-task; utilize problem solving and interpersonal skills

 

 

Additional Details

  • Must have the ability to travel domestically and internationally on limited occasions
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license/clean driving record
  • Must be willing and able to comply with ENGIE’s policy with respect to COVID vaccination and testing
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies

 

 

Compensation

Salary Range: $70,000– $129,000 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

 

ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws. Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors. 

 

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
