As our Senior Project Manager - Delivery, you will be a senior member of the ENGIE Capital Projects team at Georgetown University, overseeing the execution of large-scale utility and infrastructure projects that strengthen the reliability, efficiency, and sustainability of the campus systems. You’ll manage multi-million-dollar capital projects from pre-construction through commissioning—ensuring that every effort meets the highest standards of safety, quality, and performance.

This position supports ENGIE’s long-term partnership with Georgetown University under a 50-year concession to operate, maintain, and enhance the campus utility systems. Projects in your portfolio will include chilled water, steam, hot water, electrical, HVAC, and renewable energy systems, contributing directly to the campus’s decarbonization and modernization goals.

No two days are the same. You’ll lead contractors, consultants, and internal teams, coordinating schedules, budgets, and technical deliverables while working closely with University stakeholders and ENGIE leadership. Your success will be measured by your ability to deliver complex projects safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the satisfaction of all stakeholders.

Additional duties include the following:

  • Lead execution of complex utility and infrastructure projects across Georgetown University’s campuses, ensuring adherence to ENGIE and University standards
  • Manage project scope, budget, and schedule performance, identifying and mitigating risks proactively
  • Oversee contractor procurement, submittal review, and change order processes in collaboration with Construction Management and Engineering teams
  • Coordinate with the Manager of Project Delivery to ensure resource alignment, governance compliance, and timely progress reporting
  • Serve as the primary interface for University stakeholders during construction and commissioning phases
  • Lead project meetings, prepare reports, and provide regular updates on financial, schedule, and risk status
  • Manage project documentation, including permits, RFIs, submittals, and closeout deliverables
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor safety, quality, and contractor performance
  • Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement across all delivery functions

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • Minimum five to seven (5–7) years of experience in managing capital infrastructure or utility projects, preferably within campus, industrial, or municipal environments
  • Proven track record delivering projects exceeding $10M in value
  • Knowledgeable of construction means and methods, contract administration, and project controls
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and stakeholders in active operational environments
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, and project management platforms such as Procore or Smartsheet
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication, with confidence presenting to senior leadership and clients

Additional Details

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy; subject to project demands and policy updates
  • Must be available to travel domestically up to 5% of the time
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
  • Involves frequent site visits; ability to walk project sites and climb ladders as needed
