What You Can Expect

This role is part of ENGIE’s Campuses business within the Local Energy Infrastructure GBU, which partners with universities and institutions to deliver and operate sustainable energy solutions.

 

As a Project Controls Analyst, you will join the ENGIE team based at Georgetown University, supporting the financial tracking and reporting of capital projects that help maintain and improve campus infrastructure.

 

You will work in a collaborative, campusbased environment and report to the Project Controls Manager, gaining handson experience in project controls, financial reporting, and capital planning while supporting a longterm university partnership.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Support cost tracking, budgeting, and forecasting activities for capital projects, including monthly updates and variance analysis
  • Assist with the preparation, consolidation, and submission of the FiveYear Capital Plan in coordination with the Project Controls and Capital Projects teams
  • Maintain and update project financial models, forecasts, and reports to support planning and billing needs
  • Collaborate with project managers and support teams (engineering, project administration, accounting) to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Help ensure project financial activities follow ENGIE policies, internal controls, and partnership agreements
  • Prepare materials and reporting for internal reviews, audits, and management updates as needed

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field
  • 0–2 years of experience in financial analysis, project controls, construction finance, or a related environment (internships/coops included)
  • Exposure to construction or capital projects is a plus
  • Analytical and problemsolving skills with attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of Excel for financial analysis, tracking, and reporting (advanced modeling a plus)
  • Ability to organize information, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a collaborative team environment
  • Familiarity with financial or enterprise systems (e.g., ERP or budgeting tools) and the ability to quickly learn ENGIE platforms such as SAP and related project cost systems

 

Additional Details

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid in-office work policy, based at the Georgetown campus in Washington, DC
  • Must be available to travel domestically up to 10% of the time and with the need for some overnight trips
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal contexts and manage multiple assignments with accuracy and attention to detail

 

Compensation

Salary Range: $57,000 – $87,400 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

 

ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws. Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors. 

 

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
