What You Can Expect
As our Manager of Project Delivery, you will be a key leader within the ENGIE Capital Projects team at Georgetown University, responsible for delivering a diverse portfolio of capital projects that sustain and expand the University’s utility infrastructure. You’ll oversee all aspects of project execution—from design and procurement to construction and commissioning—ensuring that every project is delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
This position supports ENGIE’s 50-year partnership with Georgetown University to operate, maintain, and enhance the campus utility systems. You’ll lead a team of project managers and coordinators executing multi-disciplinary projects across chilled water, steam, electrical, HVAC, and renewable energy systems—ranging from lifecycle renewals to major system expansions.
No two days are the same. You’ll balance portfolio management with hands-on leadership, guiding project teams, engaging with contractors, and collaborating closely with University stakeholders. Your success will be measured by how well projects transition from planning to operations—delivered with zero safety incidents, full compliance, and measurable performance value to the campus.
Additional duties include the following:
- Lead the delivery of capital utility projects in alignment with ENGIE’s concession obligations and the University’s Five-Year Plan.
- Supervise and mentor Project Managers and Project Coordinators, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and professional growth.
- Oversee project execution strategies, scopes, budgets, and schedules to ensure compliance with ENGIE and University standards.
- Coordinate with the Director of Project Delivery, Project Development Director, and Manager of Construction Management to align resources and priorities.
- Provide strategic oversight of portfolio forecasting, risk management, and progress reporting.
- Serve as project sponsor for key projects, offering guidance and escalation support to delivery teams.
- Collaborate with Development during planning stages to ensure constructability, realistic budgeting, and operational alignment.
- Engage with Procurement, Legal, and Finance to ensure contracts, sourcing, and reporting align with governance requirements.
- Champion health, safety, and environmental excellence in every phase of project execution.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; Master’s preferred.
- Minimum seven (7) years in capital utility, industrial, or campus infrastructure project delivery, including leadership of project teams.
- Demonstrated success in managing multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects exceeding $50M in value.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, contract management, and project controls.
- Expertise in financial and schedule forecasting, risk mitigation, and stakeholder engagement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present to executive and University leadership.
- Proficiency with project management tools (Procore, MS Project, Smartsheet, and Microsoft Office Suite).
- PMP certification preferred; experience in P3 or long-term concession environments desirable.
- Collaborative leadership style with strong decision-making and mentoring abilities.
Additional Details
- This role is eligible for hybrid work, subject to project demands and policy updates.
- Domestic travel up to 5% may be required.
