Asset Maintenance Engineer II – Systems

We are looking for an Asset Maintenance Engineer II to carry out maintenance services, planning, design, commissioning, analysis, programming, supervision, and maintenance engineering tests on electrical system assets, ensuring the performance, reliability, and availability of medium-voltage networks and substation equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute and manage maintenance services on medium-voltage lines and equipment, as well as special testing activities on critical level 1 equipment.
  • Execute and manage maintenance analysis of equipment and systems in your area of expertise and present recommendations and follow-up actions, contributing to the optimized and reliable operation of equipment and electrical systems in power plants, substations, medium-voltage networks, and transmission lines.
  • Execute and manage the evaluation of maintenance methodologies, philosophies, and procedures, seeking best practices and technological innovations to ensure updates, standardization, and uniformity for equipment and systems in your area.
  • Execute and manage the analysis of maintenance cost and performance indicators (KPIs), as well as propose and implement recommendations and follow-up actions.
  • Prepare and update the multi-year planning (PPU), including suggestions for MSO budget proposals and plant investments.
  • Prepare the annual shutdown planning for units, as well as schedule and execute the defined actions.
  • Execute and manage risk and condition analysis, integrity assessment, and useful life evaluation of critical level 1 equipment and systems, and present and implement recommendations and follow-up actions.
  • Provide consultative engineering support for the development and implementation of new projects, as well as for special services and improvement projects of existing assets (modernization, repowering, and capacity upgrades), including technical feasibility analysis, technical specifications, proposal analysis and negotiation, project implementation, and commissioning.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, occupational health, quality, environmental, and energy efficiency standards, following the related documents in the Integrated Management System and the policies on Information Security, Code of Ethics, Personnel Manual, and interpersonal relationships, adopting procedures and behaviors aligned with company rules and values.
  • Implement operational-level actions for the cybersecurity of industrial assets, in compliance with ENGIE Brasil Energia’s Industrial Control Systems Security Policy.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Proficiency in overhead and underground medium-voltage networks.
  • Proficiency in electrical equipment and systems of power plants, substations, and transmission lines.
  • Proficiency in maintenance plans, methods, techniques, and diagnostics.
  • Proficiency in maintenance management tools and technical documentation software.
  • Proficiency in IT tools: word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, internet, and email.
  • Proficiency in health and safety standards and applicable regulations.
  • Intermediate knowledge of integrated management systems.
  • Intermediate skills in writing and public speaking.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Desirable Attributes:

  • Intermediate English.
  • Intermediate Spanish.
