Summary of what you will do

  • Provide technical guidance to a multi-discipline shift team, ensuring safe and reliable operations
  • Assist in delivering maintenance projects and routines within assigned budgets
  • Plan and organize resources, managing contractors to meet business objectives
  • Investigate and solve plant-level problems to improve performance
  • Communicate with National Grid Transco and Trading Portfolio Management team as first point of contact
  • Carry out duties under the FHC Emergency Control Plan and Black Start Procedure
  • Undertake various safety-critical roles under Company and NGT Safety Rules

 

What you will bring to the role

  • Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant Engineering discipline
  • Thorough knowledge of power station plant layout and configuration
  • Significant experience in maintaining and operating industrial plant, preferably in the Power Industry
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for fault diagnosis
  • Detailed understanding of QEH&S legislation and its impact on operations
  • Experience with Safe Systems of work and safety rules implementation
  • Proficiency in IT systems, including computerized work management systems
  • National Grid Authorization to switch up to 400kV
  • IOSH Managing Safely certification or equivalent

 

Job Based In

This is an on-site position based at Dinorwig Power Station in North Wales.
