About the Role
As a Test & Release Analyst with our Retail business, you’ll play an instrumental role in ensuring the quality, stability, and reliability of our digital platforms that support energy customers across Australia. You’ll work across a range of applications from billing and CRM systems to customer-facing websites and mobile apps helping to deliver seamless and secure digital experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Testing & Release Management
- Develop and execute test plans in Jira aligned with ENGIE’s digital processes.
- Conduct functional, integration, and end-to-end testing across retail applications.
- Log and manage defects, collaborating with developers and business teams to ensure release readiness.
Regression Automation
- Build and maintain automated regression suites using SmartBear tools (TestComplete, SoapUI).
- Update scripts to reflect business changes (e.g., tariff updates).
- Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines with SmartBear–Jira integration.
Environment Coordination
- Manage non-production environments (dev, test, staging), ensuring configurations mirror production.
- Coordinate environment scheduling, refreshes, and data masking in line with privacy regulations.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Reporting
- Align testing strategies with project goals and deliver clear reports on test outcomes and release risks.
- Support post-release validation and monitor production performance.
This is a full-time role based in our Southbank office, operating within a hybrid work model. The position requires a high level of flexibility to meet delivery timelines and support critical business activities.
About You
You’re a detail-oriented and collaborative professional with a passion for quality assurance and digital reliability. You thrive in fast-paced environments and bring a strong understanding of the energy retail sector.
Qualifications & Education
- Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or other relevant field.
- ISTQB certification (International Software Testing Qualification Board).
Skills & Experience
- Experience in the Utilities Industry, ideally within the Energy Retail Sector.
- Strong background in test planning, execution, and defect management.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage competing deadlines.
- Experience testing complex energy billing & quoting systems, Salesforce CRM, Customer-facing websites and mobile apps (iOS, Android, browser) and Integration platforms.
