KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Technically coordinate the development of mission-critical designs, from Basis of Design (BOD) through the finalization of Issued for Construction (IFC) documents, covering new projects, infrastructure upgrades, and retrofits in the region.
- Collaborate with the design team and the Client's core teams to define technical solutions for Data Centers.
- Coordinate engineering work with other TRACTEBEL entities (Europe, Latin America, Asia, etc.).
- Review, comment on, and approve project design documents, ensuring completeness and consistency with the Contract, Project requirements, code compliance, and best practices.
- Guide and coordinate the work among designers and drafters across the disciplines involved.
- Forecast work and deliverables, comparing estimates against actuals and defining corrective actions as needed.
- Define technical design guidelines and identify internal and external project interfaces.
- Assist the project manager in managing subcontractors and handling owner claims.
- Support on proposal preparation for Data Centers and other critical infrastructure facilities.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Robust and proven experience in Engineering projects for Data Centers;
- Experience with critical infrastructure facilities;
- Experience in technical coordination and/or project management;
- Solid knowledge of electrical, HVAC, and utility systems applied to Data Centers;
- Fluent English (reading, writing, and speaking).
DESIRABLE SKILLS:
- Accredited Tier Designer (ATD – Uptime Institute) or Certified TIA-942 DC Consultant (CTDC) certification.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred) and/or related fields.
