We are currently searching for PPA & BESS Structurer & Originator in S&EM Italy, based in Milan or Rome

What will you do?
Under the supervision of the Structured Green Power & BESS Originator Manager, you will Develop the green power and flexibility business (prospecting, building commercial pipeline and closing deals) focusing on:
- Identify, onboard, explore, analyze, structure and follow up opportunities in Italian Upstream PPA with Engie projects and with third party ones,
- Support the Downstream sales team in structuring and drafting the downstream PPA offers
- Identify, onboard, explore, analyze, structure and follow up opportunities in the flexibility business through Flexibility Purchase Agreement (i.e. Tolling) for the optimization BESS assets with third parties
- Develop, originate and implement risk management solutions to support the growth of S&EM renewable and BESS portfolio in Italy;
- Understand the pricing methodologies and models and collaborate to the development of the relevant models in close collaboration with the power portfolio and pricing team;
- Follow legislative and market structural changes in the Italian markets impacting S&EM green power and flexibility business
- Drive opportunities from inception until close (and beyond), managing the client’s relationship, negotiating terms. Play a key coordination role to help deals progress with all internal stakeholders (market risk, credit risk, legal, compliance, pricing team, quants etc.).
- Provide technical market knowledge and commercial support to implement contracts properly, while ensuring a very good coordination of the different stakeholders/counterparties involved.
This is a front office role, working in a dynamic trading floor environment and in close collaboration with trading, quants, risk, legal, and other origination teams.
ABOUT YOU
- 7-10 years of experience in the energy market, with relevant experience in origination. Track record in Italian green power.
- Master degree in quantitative discipline (engineering, economics, finance, etc.).
- Solid knowledge of the Italia power system, markets and regulatory context.
- Knowledge of pricing models, risk metrics, physical and financial energy products and contracts (PPA, Tolling, etc.), main master agreements.
- Commercial and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Result-oriented, hands-on approach and ability to manage multiple workflows.
- Reliable, rigorous and detail-oriented.
- Oriented towards cross-functional collaboration, with the ability to understand and exploit the activities of other teams in order to successfully carry out negotiations requiring internal approvals
- Team player, communicate easily and ability to interact/cooperate with a variety of different profiles (portfolio manager, legal, analysts, sales, risks, credit, support functions, etc.).
