The Role:

 

Excellent permanent opportunity for a Senior Community Engagement Officer to join our Renewables business to design and implement effective community and stakeholder engagement initiatives during the development, construction and operational phases of renewable energy generation and other assets.

 

The incumbent will be accountable to the Head of Stakeholder Relations and will be required to travel to regional areas and interstate as required.  

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Plan and deliver stakeholder and community engagement plans and activities
  • Actively and regularly engage with landowners, neighbours, local communities and interested parties to build and maintain effective relationships
  • Work with First Nations representatives to identify opportunities for indigenous engagement and participation
  • Coordinate community meetings and stakeholder briefings to effectively gather feedback and input to improve outcomes for local communities
  • Respond to enquiries, complaints and requests for information from the community and stakeholders in a timely manner and ensure all engagement and communications with stakeholders is adequately recorded in the stakeholder engagement database

 

 

About You:

 

To be successful in this role, you will have solid experience in community relations or stakeholder engagement, preferably in the development of renewable power generation assets such as wind, solar and/or battery storage in agricultural / rural areas.  You possess highly developed interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with the community and you are able to prepare stakeholder engagement and consultation plans and relevant communications materials.

You are collaborative in your approach, persuasive when needed and action oriented.
