Site Engineer

Job Purpose:

The DC Site Engineer with experience in technical support as well as data centre operations is responsible for the maintenance of UPS Systems & Electrical Systems in the DCs and ensures support for the other departments for the smooth running of the Gulf Data Hub Organisation. He shall physically attend to all the Maintenance as per the approved schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing Electrical System major / shutdown maintenance including UPS, Switchgear, Generators, Mechanical
• Managing installation Projects
• Managing new Customer Installations (Cables, Cold Aisle Cages, Cages)
• Assist in reviewing and developing DC Processes and Policies
• Prepare and present periodic operational reports as per the DC requirements
• Inspection and Validation the Work Completion, HSE and Quality Control
• Internal Audit for all Processes and SLAs
• Backup for DC SITE MANAGER & SITE COORDINATOR

Skills Required:

• Should have thorough experience in UPS Systems, Electrical Systems [optional / add-on advantage: Generators & basic HVAC Systems]
• Experience of Troubleshooting in UPS Systems & Electrical Systems [optional: Generators & basic HVAC Systems]
• Good presentation & preparation skills for reports demonstrations to Customers & Clients
• Expert across all technical aspects within the scope of the role.
• Good knowledge of DC processes and policies.
• English Read/write/speak is mandatory.
• Experience of Datacenter MEP Infrastructure: Power, Cooling & Facilities Management 

Qualifications:

• Educated to university level and/or relevant industry certification with vast relevant industry

experience

Other Requirements:

• An expert in FM solutions, with experience in one or more of the following sectors would be an

advantage: Transport & Airports, Energy, Infrastructure, Healthcare, Education

• Experience in building PPP solutions would be an advantage
