Job Purpose
The Site Quality Controller ensures that construction works are executed in compliance with ENGIE SEA quality control processes, local codes, and applicable standards.
The role focuses on quality standards, inspections, testing and commissioning activities, and proper recording of QC data in internal systems. The Site Quality Controller supports project phase readiness in line with ENGIE Project Delivery Office requirements.
Responsibilities
Coordination & Authority
- Work closely with the different project stakeholders (Project Manager, Project Engineers, Site Manager, H&S Officer, Subcontractors, and Manufacturers)
- Participate in meetings related to quality issues or deviations.
- Escalate non‑compliant works and critical quality issues to the Project Manager and QC Lead; apply hold points when required in their absence.
- Might operate on multiple works sites.
- Attend the projects internal coordination meetings and might attend meetings with Client.
Site Inspections
- Ensure materials and equipment delivered to site comply with approved submittals and specifications.
- Conduct daily routine site inspections during the projects’ execution activities.
- Verify work and workmanship quality during the projects’ execution activities.
- Witness inspections, testing, and commissioning activities conducted by specialists and suppliers.
Corrective Actions
- Identify quality deviations, raise and follow-up the closure of the Non‑Conformance Reports.
- Support the Return on Experience workshops with internal stakeholders.
- Monitor the projects’ completion punch list open items and follow up the open actions.
Documentation
- Ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and available in the system.
- Support preparation of documents for project handover.
- Provide inputs to the project manager and QC Lead for the project and department reports.
Requirements
- Degree/Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- At least 3 years experience in construction/industrial projects
- Proactive and solution‑oriented, strong attention to detail and site observation skills.
- Ability to read construction drawings, and familiarity with digital tools.
