Working in a self-managed team concept, the Project Manager will be a part of the ENGIE Capital Projects Team based at Georgetown University. This team is responsible for the planning, administration, safe and on-time implementation of infrastructure capital projects associated with expanding and maintaining the utility system on the Georgetown University campuses (main and downtown) at or below approved budgets. Projects range in size from $100,000 to $25M, over the span of 1-5 years.

 

The campus utility system includes the production and distribution of steam, chilled and hot water, and the distribution of domestic water and medium voltage electricity.

 

This program is a business “start-up” to “maturity” journey and this role is fitting for a driven, creative and ambitious individual that is excited to embrace the team culture of a successful organization that is writing the book on public-private partnerships on higher education.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Develop project definition documents including, scope, schedule, budget forecasts
  • Autonomously plan, direct and coordinate efforts related to project assignments and completion
  • Establish the contractual framework for each assigned capital project to provide the most added value to our customer, Georgetown University
  • Directly manage multiple projects simultaneously in a high-volume environment
  • Work cohesively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Work with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to monitor project and equipment deliverables
  • Anticipate challenges and proactively apply solutions for advanced technical plans and functions
  • Perform work in a safe manner
  • Follow ENGIE’s health and safety procedures
  • Provide construction support, inspections, and field observations
  • Recommend processes, products and improvements as needed
  • Carry out other duties as assigned

 

What you bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Industial Engineering, or related discipline required
  • A minimum five (5) years of relevant experience with a preference for those with plant control systems and/or medium voltage electrical distribution experience

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Productivity Applications of Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, and Project
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong management and leadership skills
  • Advance knowledge of financial transaction operations
  • Ability to work on achieving and potentially exceed targets as a team
  • Knowledge of modern management tools in continuous improvement
  • Construction experience is a plus
  • Forecasting, budgeting and fiscal planning experience is a plus
  • SAP experience is a plus

  • Salary Range: $111,960-$140,000, annually
  • Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors
  • In addition to salary, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan
