PRODUCT MANAGER

This role will drive development and execution of product initiatives that support ENGIE Impact’s goals, meet customer/user needs and drive a high level of customer satisfaction.  Own the product backlog, define user stories, and prioritize features to deliver maximum value. Key objective will be managing the product development process with their attached scrum team.

 

Role Responsibilities:

 

Product Strategy & Vision:

  • Contributes to the definition of a product vision & drives efforts to realize the vision. Contributes to own a near-term (up to 12 months) strategic roadmap for a product and helps structure strategic conversations and brainstorming for a product.
  • Estimates levels of effort with their scrum team to feed the business case, planning & prioritization process

Product Design & Definition:

  • Defines detailed requirement at feature and story level. 
  • Investigates the drivers behind stated user needs & pain points. Synthesizes information to ensure the product provides value to users and supports the company’s overall strategy and goals. Coordinates   communication for regular exchange of information.
  • Partners with Go-To-Market on ongoing Voice of the Customer including internal stakeholder management to ensure understanding the needs and requirements of stakeholders while communicating on the prioritization of the product roadmap

Product Development & Delivery:

  • Facilitates the team meetings and writes, slices, and prioritizes requirements and stories. Defines acceptance criteria and focuses on continuous scope refinement. Coordinates on major releases and delivers products that achieve expected outcomes.
  • Works with digital and engineering teams to guide decisions and maintain schedule against the product roadmap to ensure on time delivery. 
  • Facilitates team meetings effectively and manages projects across multiple dev teams. Understands architecture and dependencies across other products & applications. Writes high quality Product Requirement Documents (PRDs), epics, user stories with acceptance criteria details. Regularly meets milestones on time and within budget. Contributes and challenges technical decisions and strategy. 
  • Responsible for managing the end-to-end development of product roadmap, tracking dependencies and executing across cross-functional teams.  

Launch:

  • Partners with Go-to-Market for the commercialization of the product enabling a product launch
  • Creates product collaterals and documentation by partnering efficiently with Go-to-Market managers and business stakeholders to ensure successful product launch and adoption

Education and Experience: 

    • Bachelor's required in one of the following fields: engineering, computer science concentration or related field
    • 3+ years relevant experience with Product Management required
    • 3+ years of experience in commercial software or IT services preferred
    • May consider a combination of relevant experience with educational and other skills and abilities in lieu of educational requirements

Skills and Abilities:

 

    • Demonstrated ability to effectively define and deliver innovative solutions that meet customer needs in conjunction with Product Development. Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and technology required.    
    • Involvement in some, if not all, aspects of product launches, e.g., development of messaging and positioning, internal and external communications planning, testing, training, implementation planning, execution, user documentation. 
    • Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum best practices.  
    • Demonstrated ability to translate concepts into viable products or business solutions, including experience guiding or personally conducting and analyzing market research for product planning. 
    • Entrepreneurial spirit and creative approach to problem solving. 
    • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communications skills. 
    • Strong analytical skills. 
    • Ability to effectively work with and influence cross-functional teams to achieve results. 
    • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
    • Experience with Microsoft Office suite of products

Work Environment:

  • Work schedules are determined by business need and manager discretion; full time employment is considered 40 hours per week

    • Performing duties and attending events during the evening and on the weekend occurs occasionally and may be required
    • Traveling off-site to employee and client locations globally, events and vendor meetings is required
    • Occasional international business trips may be necessary, and a valid passport is essential
    Business travel may be required up to 25% of the time

  • Mobility: Ability to move within an office environment to access files, office machinery, and attend meetings.
  • Reaching and Handling: Ability to reach, handle, and manipulate objects and equipment within an office or remote workspace.
  • Occasional Lifting: Ability to lift and move items, such as files or office supplies, typically up to 10 pounds.
  • Flexibility: Ability to perform tasks that may require bending, twisting, or standing briefly to access materials or equipment.

At ENGIE Impact, we carefully consider a wide range of non-discriminatory factors when determining pay. Actual pay will vary depending on factors including but not limited to education, experience, skills, qualifications, location, and internal equity. All offers will be in compliance with all local, state, and federal minimum wage requirements.

 

The target pay range for this position is $71,000-$120,000

 

In addition to base pay, employees are eligible for our comprehensive and competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Additional ENGIE benefits include a 401k plan, paid time off, paid holidays, and annual bonus.
