ENGIE Lab CRIGEN serves as the Group’s R&D center dedicated to new energies (hydrogen, biogas, and LNG), as well as emerging technologies (computer science & AI, drones & robots, nanotechnologies & sensors) for new energy applications in cities, buildings, and future industries.

 

ENGIE Lab CRIGEN undertakes R&D projects and develops pilots for ENGIE’s operational and corporate entities, as well as external clients. Its goal is to master tomorrow’s technologies, bring them to maturity, and prepare for the energy transition and decarbonization of energy usages. Located in the Paris region, it boasts 180 collaborators. Its value lies in transforming scientific ideas and knowledge into proven industrial applications or distinctive commercial offerings.

Assistant Lab Manager CSAI (M/F)

Lab Presentation, team and missions :

 

The CSAI Lab (Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence) has the following main missions and objectives:

 

  • to act as a center of R&I expertise in the fields of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, in order to :
  • enlighten the Group in these fields, and in particular participate in the elaboration of relevant roadmaps with high business impact for Global Business Units (GBUs) and other Group entities,

produce studies, algorithms, POCs, pre-industrial tools, etc. within the framework of roadmaps or directly with customers,

  • participate in multi-disciplinary projects as part of partnerships of interest to the Group (calls for projects, European projects, etc.),
  • raise the profile of CRIGEN and the Group through publications, participation in conferences and seminars, positioning in networks, and setting up academic partnerships.
  • provide cross-functional support for the whole of CRIGEN on data and digital issues: make available and maintain or provide access to tools, hosting and ecosystems for developments, carry out these developments as required and maintain them within the defined quality framework, and ensure compliance with the security and privacy rules defined by the Group or legislation.   

 

 

As Assistant Lab Manager, you will play a central role in the management and development of the laboratory. Here is a summary of your responsibilities:

 

R&D Roadmap: You will lead the development of the laboratory's multi-year R&D roadmap. In collaboration with the program managers, you will define the priorities and strategic orientations for the coming years.

 

Offers and Portage: You are responsible for building and enriching the laboratory's offers. Your mission is to make these offers attractive and to promote them to internal and external stakeholders. You ensure that the laboratory's forward-looking vision is well communicated and understood.

 

Business Development: You play a key role in the laboratory's business development. This involves working with the Group's various entities as well as with external partners. You organize prospecting and work closely with the Business Developers.

 

Team motivation: You are the driving force behind the team. You share the objectives and challenges of the projects to which the laboratory contributes. Your ability to motivate and mobilize all team members is essential to ensure their commitment and involvement.

 

Lab ecosystem: You are responsible for developing and maintaining the Lab's ecosystem. This includes relations with customers, other laboratories and the public.

 

 

Profil required :


We're looking for a professional with a passion for digital, artificial intelligence and data science. If you have an engineering degree or doctorate (Bac+5), with at least 5 years' experience, this is the opportunity for you!

 

Responsibilities :
- Leadership: You have managed and supervised teams, and you know how to motivate and unite your colleagues.
- Software solutions: You have developed innovative software solutions in the digital field.
- R&D environments: Knowledge of research and development environments, particularly in the context of European projects, would be an asset.
- Technical skills: Expertise in AI, data science, optimization and programming is essential.
- Fluency in English: You communicate fluently in English and are willing to travel in France and internationally.
