Responsibilities:-

 

  1. Provide leadership, guidance, mentoring/coaching and direct support, where applicable deliver best practice in selection, training, assessment, appraisal, and recognition/reward.
  2. Deliver effective business communication through leadership and contribution to management and team meetings, briefings, consultation, correspondence, monthly and ad-hoc reporting and other as appropriate.
  3. Develop effective working relationship with all members of Engie’s staff and the Client representatives.
  4. Manage day to day DC operation of the assigned sites including planning, execution, communication for repair and MEP Preventive & corrective maintenance activties, Security, cleaning, change control process, procurement, accounting & budgeting related issue, etc. Measure the vendor’s performance at completing work on time, review service reports and the performance of the own staffs.
  5. Manage/execute Data Centre’s expansion, modification, maintenance or new customer move-in projects including the annual contractual budgets of the specified sites. Manages specifications, problems/issues, performance and administration.
  6. Prepare Engie/Client Monthly and adhoc reports, Power point presentation, SOP/EOP, Critical activities planning such as Power down & Pull-the-Plug test, Emergency / Disaster Recovery plans / Business Continuity Plans, Data Centre customers’ report …etc.
  7. Ensure customer focus within all areas of operational activities and relationships are maintained with key client contacts. Ensuring contractually agreed SLA's and KPI's within the Scope of Works (SOW) are met and necessary record retention demonstrating adherence.
  8. Effectively lead management related activities including regular management meetings development of operational procedures fostering of good relationships with the client providing services of the highest standards.
  9. Provide superior customer service to clients through all Facility functions. Engages with internal stakeholders to gain feedback on customers’ enquiry.
  10. As an incident manager managing all incidents and prepare, submit the incident reports to clients till closure. Assist to all customer requests with the intention to perform operation excellency and support in audits whenever its needed.
  11. Plan and schedule all maintenance subcontractors’ work and repairs. Ensure all accounts and documentation associated with these subcontractors is current and up to date on a monthly basis with all contractual obligations are met. Intervenes, analyzes, manages and resolves business conflicts between the company and the vendors / suppliers.
  12. Ensure appropriate control systems are in place to ensure statutory, policy and contractual commitments are met.
  13. Be the point of contact during significant events/incidents/faults/operational issues or multi-discipline technical escalations occurring within the specified sites and followup & seek the client approval if any cost incurs for any rectification. Participate in any business continuity plans the team may be involved in, as necessary. Propose the Initiatives ideas to clients including energy savings and execution of approved initiatives.
  14. Ensure healthy and safety working conditions that both clients and Engie health and safety policies and processes implemented effectively across to Engie and subcontractors’ activities and are regularly reviewed. Implementing procedures of safety system and performance measurement like scorecard to ensure quality and reliability of services meeting client’s requirements.
  15. Preparation of maintenance contract & tender document. Supervise and liaise with external vendors in respect of regular communications and ad-hoc work and respond to issues that arise.
  16. Ensure optimum staffing structures operate across contracts, balancing cost reduction with the delivery of service excellence, equipment reliability and availability. Ensure structures support for peaks and troughs in workload, and disaster recovery.
  17. Provide 24/7 standby support and make their presence on site based on assessment, working schedule is based on client contractual requirements. Manage the shift teams on daily operations/rectification/investigation for the relevant equipment alarms/failures including the duty roster. Make sure all absence and coverage by suitably trained and experienced staff to ensure full 24/7 coverage.Talent manage staff to ensure an appropriate training plan and career progression identified.
  18. Create on the job learning environment by providing appropriate training and development planning and implemented for each member of FM staff. Ensure basic training needs are deliver, employees are fully competent to undertake their roles, and are able to reach full potential.
  19. Routinely inspect all areas to ensure performance measures are being maintained and proactively self-reporting the problems of facilities. Take charge of planning, managing and execution of the building’s annual HT & LV shutdown activities, including but not limited to the preparation of shutdown script for client’s approval, arrangement of manpower for all relevant systems vendors and any other related preparation related to the activities. Assist to complete all other customer adhoc projects/assignments based on clients requests.
  20. Prepare and stablish engineering and operation procedures(SOP,EOP,SMOP.etc) and roll out for site staff. Ensure compliance with all local statutory regulations and all necessary certifications to be renewed on time without fail. Manage all MEP systems, handle customer IT equipment rack including the deployment to Datahall, staging area checks/Burn in & Current Leakage Test for IT equipments, power activation/deactivation,  update the technical drawings, Inventory, Asset List regularly or as and when required by clients. Etc.
  21. Ensure post holders are fully competent, and that effective succession planning arrangements are in place and monitoring of staff retention rates.
  22. Reach out and consult with peers to ensure consistency across the accounts and compliance with client standards and best practice.
  23. Produce site related financial, activity and other statistical information and reports as requested. Provide input into regular management reports and budget reviews and submissions.
  24. Promote and maintaining the core Values of Engie. Comply and adhere to all regulated protocol and/or Company’s rules and regulation.Perform and manage other duties at time assigned by management team.
  25. Ensure professional image of Engie presented to clients and visitors at all times.
  26. SCDF certified FSM duties for the building as per SCDF requirements to the specified site, not limited to monthly inspection, table top exercise, fire drill, annual report to SCDF and etc.
