Your Mission
As a Young Graduate AI Engineer, you will work at ENGIE Belgium B2B, contributing to AI initiatives that improve operational efficiency, data quality, IT processes and decision-making, while being supported by experienced colleagues and gaining hands‑on experience from proof of concept to real‑life application.
You will help turn business challenges into practical, usable AI solutions by supporting concrete use cases from PoC to adoption.
What You’ll Do
- Contribute to AI and GenAI initiatives that address concrete business needs, such as:
- Supporting the automation of manual or repetitive activities,
- Helping improve the quality, consistency and reliability of data,
- Assisting teams with insights that support better‑informed decision‑making,
- Supporting efficiency improvements for both business teams and IT.
- Support the full lifecycle of AI use cases:
- Use‑case exploration and clarification,
- Proofs of concepts (PoCs) and MVP development,
- The transition toward industrialized solutions, in line with ENGIE’s AI governance and delivery framework.
- Support change management and adoption activities, including:
- Helping prepare user documentation, training material or demos,
- Assisting teams in understanding and using AI solutions effectively,
- Contributing to adoption tracking, feedback collection and basic usage or impact reporting.
Technologies you’ll be exposed to
- Low-code / no-code AI (agents): for example Microsoft Copilot Studio (low-code and pro-code options, connectors, multi-channel publishing depending on the use case and governance).
- Pro-code GenAI & ML platforms: Azure OpenAI for GenAI experimentation and prototyping. AWS SageMaker for building, training and deploying ML solutions where relevant
- Languages & tooling: Python, TypeScript, Java... in a professional delivery context (prototyping, integration, testing)
- Cloud & integration foundations: Azure / AWS, enterprise APIs, and integration patterns needed to embed AI into existing systems and workflows.
Technical skills
- Programming fundamentals: Good foundation in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, TypeScript or Java) and willingness to learn the others depending on the mission.
- AI basics: Understanding of core AI concepts and strong interest in applied NLP and/or Generative AI.
- Problem-solving & engineering mindset: Ability to break down a business need into a structured approach (data inputs, expected outputs, validation), and to prototype iteratively.
- Cloud awareness: Basic understanding of cloud concepts and curiosity to work in Azure and/or AWS environments.
- Integration mindset: Interest in connecting solutions to real processes (e.g., understanding how AI components interact with existing applications and workflows).
Collaboration & Learning
- Work in cross‑functional teams across IT, Digital, Sales and Operations, contributing to AI initiatives from multiple perspectives.
- Be part of the B2B GenAI initiative, collaborating with teams in Belgium and other B2B countries to share learnings, reuse approaches and align on best practices.
- Learn how AI solutions are designed, deployed and governed in a large, regulated enterprise environment, with a strong focus on responsible AI.
- Actively participate in knowledge‑sharing activities, such as demos, community sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives, both locally and across the B2B network.
What profile we are looking for
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related IT/engineering field .
- Young graduate or maximum 2 years of experience as a Junior.
- Strong interest in energy markets, IT, management risk and financial market.
- Eager to learn new skills, culture & ready to be trained.
- You are fluent in English and in either French or Dutch (mandatory) .
- Proactive, reliable and results oriented.
- Collaboration & sense of priorities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Long-term interest in building a career in a strategic, international environment.
