Mission:

EM IS team provides new solutions or system integration and support to simplify and automize the business’ daily activities. We have a multi cloud platform, with all the applications and classic DWH projects are hosted as a PaaS architecture in Azure while there is a data lake hosted in AWS and several Machine learning projects are being migrated in this platform.

Based on its perimeter defined by IS Cloud & Data Science Manager, the candidate will learnhave the following responsibilities:

  • Analyze and manage large volumes of data using SQL and data engineering tools.
  • Implement and scale solutions on AWS cloud for model training and inference. 
  • Create and maintain interactive dashboards and reports to support strategic decisions. 
  • Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to understand business needs and propose data-driven solutions.
  • Integrate models with external systems through the development or use of RESTful APIs. 
  • Ensure data quality and robustness of developed models. 
  • Develop and maintain data ingestion and ETL systems.
  • Develop and optimize machine learning models for time series forecasting in the energy sector.

 

The ideal profile matches with the followings prerequisites:

 

Degree/Experience:

 

Essential:

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM disciplines (Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, or related fields);
  • Excellent knowledge of Python and SQL for data analysis and modeling. 
  • At least 2 years of experience in Data Science roles, with a focus on time series forecasting using Machine Learning and Deep Learning techniques.
  • Experience in developing and implementing solutions on AWS (e.g., Lambda, S3, SageMaker, Redshift, etc.).

 

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of energy market dynamics, with particular reference to spot markets and energy commodities. 
  • Experience with big data technologies. 
  • Experience in developing reinforcement learning models for automated trading applications. 
  • Experience with MLOps frameworks and CI/CD for model deployment.

The Data Scientist for EM strives to provide the highest possible quality of services such as the analysis, development and deployment of innovative solutions to the GEMS users.

Therefore, skills needed are
