Your key responsibilities  
 

  • Lead and execute quality audits for SEC projects in line with the SEC Quality Audit Plan
  • Ensuring that project quality requirements are effectively implemented and performed across each project, and that findings are closed with verified corrective actions.
  • Strong, proven experience with SEC Quality Requirements and SEC project quality practices
  • Multi-site audit experience (parallel projects / multiple locations)
  • Contractor quality performance assessment experience (main contractor + subcontractors/suppliers), including evaluation of QA systems effectiveness and quality KPIs.
  • Typically, 8+ years in QA/QC / Quality Assurance / auditing within utilities, substations, T&D, or power projects.
  • Audit Leadership & Execution (per SEC Plan)
  1. Lead the quality audit of each project as per the SEC audit plan and schedule.
  2. Run opening/closing meetings and manage the full cycle: plan → audit → report → follow-up → closure.
  3. Verify implementation effectiveness of quality controls on site (not only document compliance).
  • SEC Quality Compliance Verification
  1. Audit compliance against SEC requirements and project documents including (as applicable):
  2. Approved QAP/QCP, SEC procedures, project specifications
  3. ITPs, WIRs, MIRs, inspection/test records and test packs
  4. Material traceability, calibration status, testing equipment and logs
  5. Method statements compliance, approvals, hold/witness points implementation
  6. NCR system, CAPA effectiveness, lessons learned application
  • NCR / CAR Management & Closure Verification
  1. Raise audit findings (NCRs / observations / OFIs) with objective evidence and clear requirements reference.
  2. Ensure corrective actions include root cause, containment, and preventive actions.
  3. Verify closure effectiveness and maintain a complete evidence pack.
  • Contractor Quality Performance Assessment
  1. Assess contractor QA/QC performance and system maturity against SEC requirements.
  2. Review contractor KPIs (NCR aging, rework rates, test pass rates, ITP compliance, material approvals cycle time, etc.).
  3. Identify systemic issues and recommend improvement actions / escalations.
  • Reporting, Trending & Management Updates
  1. Issue audit reports within agreed timelines with clear grading, risks, and required actions.
  2. Maintain audit tracker (plan compliance, findings, closure status, aging, escalations).
  3. Provide monthly trend analysis and recurring issue reporting across projects/contractors.
  • Stakeholder & Resource Coordination
  1. Coordinate with SEC quality focal points, project teams, and site management for readiness and access.
  2. Coordinate with contractors/subcontractors for evidence availability and action plan commitments.
  3. Escalate critical quality risks or repeat non-compliances to PM/PMO immediately.

 

Key Deliverable:

  • Audit execution plan (aligned to SEC monthly plan)
  • Audit checklists, evidence logs, and attendance records (opening/closing)
  • Audit reports (per project/site)
  • NCR/CAR register with verified closures
  • Monthly summary dashboard with trends and contractor performance insights

  • Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSc Electrical)
  • Certification: ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification (valid / recognized)
