Your mission
As Resident Engineer – MEP in our Transmission & Distribution department, you will manage the mechanical and MEP portfolio of high-voltage power substation projects (400kV / 220kV / 132kV). This includes FPS (Fire Protection Systems), HVAC, lifting equipment, and associated MEP systems. You will ensure technical, HSE, and financial performance during design and construction supervision while coordinating closely with the Client (TRANSCO) and other stakeholders.
Your key responsibilities
- Manage MEP engineering for power substation projects, including FPS, HVAC, lifting equipment, and auxiliary systems.
- Supervise and manage complex technical works during design and construction.
- Ensure construction strictly follows approved design and resolve/report non-conformance issues.
- Plan, organize, and supervise engineering and construction inspection activities.
- Monitor contractor performance to ensure compliance with technical standards, safety, and quality requirements.
- Coordinate with the Client and other project stakeholders to manage customer interfaces.
- Oversee project closeout and verification of installed quantities.
- Ensure HSE compliance across all site activities.

Your qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (approved by UAE regulatory authorities).
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in MEP engineering for power projects in the UAE.
Who you are
- Strong technical knowledge of FPS, HVAC, and mechanical systems in substations.
- Skilled in site supervision, contractor management, and quality inspections.
- Familiar with UAE authority requirements and TRANSCO/utility standards.
Your soft skills
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in multicultural and fast-paced environments.
Preference
- Prior experience with TRANSCO, ADDC, DEWA or other UAE utilities will be highly preferred.
