Your mission
As Resident Engineer – Electrical (Cable) in our Transmission & Distribution department, you will manage the electrical engineering portfolio of high-voltage underground cable projects (400kV / 220kV / 132kV). You will be responsible for technical, HSE, and financial performance during design and construction supervision, ensuring high-quality delivery while coordinating with the Client (TRANSCO) and other stakeholders.

Your key responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of engineering and site supervision for cable projects (400kV / 220kV / 132kV).
• Oversee construction and ensure strict compliance with approved designs and specifications.
• Monitor, report, and resolve non-conformance issues.
• Plan, organize, and supervise engineering and construction inspection activities.
• Ensure compliance with HSE and quality standards throughout execution.
• Coordinate with the Client, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth interfaces.
• Manage project closeout, including verification of installed quantities.
• Provide technical oversight, reporting, and recommendations to project leadership.

Your qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (approved by UAE regulatory authorities).
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in high-voltage cable projects in the UAE.

• Strong expertise in 400kV / 220kV / 132kV cable design, construction, and supervision.
• Experienced in site supervision, contractor management, and quality assurance.
• Familiar with UAE utility authority standards and requirements.

• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and safety-conscious mindset.

Preference

• Prior experience with TRANSCO, ADDC, DEWA or other major UAE utilities will be highly preferred.
