Your mission
As Resident Engineer – Civil (Substation) in our Transmission & Distribution department, you will manage the civil engineering portfolio of high-voltage power substation projects (400kV / 220kV / 132kV). You will oversee technical, HSE, and financial performance during design and construction supervision, ensuring delivery in line with contractual, safety, and quality standards.
Your key responsibilities
- Manage and supervise civil works for high-voltage substation projects.
- Monitor construction to ensure compliance with approved designs and specifications.
- Plan, organize, and oversee engineering and construction inspection activities.
- Review contractor submissions, shop drawings, and method statements.
- Identify, report, and resolve non-conformance issues.
- Ensure compliance with HSE requirements and international/local codes.
- Coordinate with the Client (e.g., TRANSCO) and other stakeholders on project interfaces.
- Oversee project closeout activities and verification of installed quantities.

Your qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (approved by UAE regulatory authorities).
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in civil engineering, with substantial experience in substation projects in the UAE.

- Experienced in contractor supervision, quality assurance, and project delivery.
- Familiar with UAE authority and utility standards.

- Strong leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in multicultural environments.
Preference
- Prior experience with TRANSCO, ADDC, DEWA or other major UAE utilities will be highly preferred.
