The Role:

The Senior Director, Financial Planning & Analysis is a strategic finance leader responsible for transforming the Company’s planning, forecasting, and performance management capabilities. This role advances the organization from traditional, spreadsheet‑based approaches to a modern, technology‑enabled FP&A function that delivers real‑time insight, elevated business partnership, and scalable analytics.

 

In This Role, You Will:

 

Strategic & Transformational Leadership

  • Architect and execute a multi‑year FP&A transformation roadmap, including future‑state vision, change strategy, and implementation.

  • Serve as a change leader who champions new operating models, ensuring cross‑functional alignment and adoption.

  • Influence executive stakeholders to embed data‑driven decision making and modern finance practices.

Technology, Data & Analytics Enablement

  • Lead the transition to a scalable data warehouse and automated reporting environment.

  • Oversee deployment and adoption of advanced analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, enterprise planning platforms).

  • Strengthen data governance, quality, and consistency to enable self‑service dashboards and accurate performance insight.

Financial Planning & Analysis Excellence

  • Lead annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long‑range planning processes.

  • Oversee financial modeling, scenario planning, and enterprise performance reporting.

  • Deliver clear, compelling insights to senior leadership and the Board, translating complex data into actionable recommendations.

Business Partnership & Enterprise Financial Acumen

  • Build a best‑in‑class business partnership model grounded in proactive insights and accountability.

  • Develop financial acumen across the organization by coaching leaders, strengthening forecasting discipline, and enabling self‑service analytics.

  • Provide strategic financial guidance to functional and operational executives on investments, resource allocation, and trade‑offs.

Team Leadership & Organizational Capability

  • Lead and develop a high‑performing FP&A team with strong analytical and technical skill sets.

  • Set clear goals, foster continuous learning, and cultivate a culture of innovation and transformation.

  • Drive alignment with Accounting, Treasury, Procurement, Data, and Technology to ensure cohesive financial execution.

 

What You’ll Bring:

  • Visionary, systems‑thinking orientation with the ability to design and execute a future‑state FP&A operating model.

  • Expertise in change management and stakeholder communication.

  • Strong command of data architecture, BI, analytics, and planning systems.

  • Exceptional analytical capability with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear insights.

  • Strong business acumen and ability to link financial results to operational drivers.

  • Executive‑level communication skills, including presenting to senior leadership and Boards.

  • Ability to lead cross‑functional initiatives in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.

Education and Experience:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field.

  • MBA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent advanced credential strongly preferred.

  • 10+ years of progressive FP&A or corporate finance experience, including leadership of planning and systems transformation.

  • Demonstrated success leading technology enabled finance modernization (data warehouses, planning systems, Power BI, automation).

  • Proven ability to influence executive stakeholders and lead large‑scale organizational change. 

 

Work Environment:

  • A majority of our employees work remotely or in hybrid roles and we have locations across the country and around the globe.

  • Business travel may be required up to 15-30% of the time

The target pay range for this position is $148,000-$210,000. 

 

In accordance with Pay Transparency requirements, the pay range above represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position. At ENGIE Impact, we carefully consider a wide range of non-discriminatory factors when determining pay. Actual pay will vary depending on factors including but not limited to education, experience, skills, qualifications, location, and internal equity. All offers will be in compliance with all local, state, and federal minimum wage requirements.
