The Lead Field Service Technician, Asset Operations is responsible for managing field response for reactive and planned maintenance activities of select operating assets in Northern California.  This position will also serve as a key company representative for maintenance scheduling/coordination with internal teams as well as 3rd parties. This field-based position will work across departments to communicate updates and will require frequent travel, primarily to facilities in Stockton, California. Candidate must reside within 2 hours of area facilities.  

 

This position will report to the Asset Management Director for Flexible Generation.

What you’ll do: 

  • Oversee internal field service team for regional sites 

  • Coordination with various OEMs/internal/external maintenance partners 

  • Hands-on troubleshooting of on-site technical issues 

  • Performance deviation detection and mitigation 

  • Communicate with internal departments for reporting any issues or needs 

  • Assist in any other tasks as required 

  • Source, schedule, and manage third party contractors for site interventions

  • Manage scheduled maintenance planning and coordination, in concert with internal Performance Management and Trading teams 

  • Support issues resolution coordinating with internal teams, OEMs and EMS providers 

  • Support reliability improvement plans via coordinating with in-house and third-party technical engineering staff 

  • Coordinate with various groups during commissioning to identify potential issues prior to site COD 

 

What you bring: 

  • Minimum 5 years of electrical experience or comparable industrial experience 

  • High school diploma or technical certificate

  • Ability to meet highest attendance requirements
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to use a company computer, calculator

  • Salary Range: $55.45 – $74.08 USD, hourly
  • Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors 
  • In addition to salary, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan
