Description about the Entity: (Head office/ Assets)
ENGIE’s Business Unit for the Asia Middle East and Africa (AMEA) region is headquartered in Dubai. The region has activities in large scale power generation, water desalination, district cooling, energy solutions and renewables including green hydrogen, wind and solar. We act throughout the value chain: strategy, design, engineering, energy-efficient asset construction, digital platforms, operations management, financing syndication and outcome assurance. Key activities and competencies
Strategic:
- Develop and maintain relationships with government authorities to facilitate smooth permitting and planning of Abu Dhabi projects.
Operational:
- Plan and lead meetings with municipalities, local authorities and agencies.
- Develop and follow up specific applications and approvals.
Organizational:
- Coordinate between Engie project team and local authorities, government and agencies.
Planning & Delivery of Work:
- Plan and manage government relations activities, including securing special licenses and permits.
- Coordinate with relevant agencies to arrange in-house and external events, meetings, and other functions.
Key relationships
Key relationships are as follows:
Internal:
- Project teams (BD, construction, legal, HR departments)
External:
- Governmental and non-governmental authorities, specifically Abu Dhabi and al Ain municipality authorities.
- Other agencies and advisors.
Required Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Higher Diploma/Bachelor's degree in business administration, communication or a related field.
Experience:
- At least five years of experience working as a Relationship Manager or in a similar role in the Abu Dhabi municipality.
- Proven experience in public relations and a strong understanding of UAE labor laws.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English and Arabic.
- In-depth understanding of office management procedures and departmental and legal policies.
- Proficiency with UAE government online systems and familiarity with CICPA processes.
