Description about the Entity: (Head office/ Assets)

ENGIE’s Business Unit for the Asia Middle East and Africa (AMEA) region is headquartered in Dubai. Key activities and competencies

Strategic:

• Develop and maintain relationships with government authorities to facilitate smooth permitting and planning of Abu Dhabi projects.

Operational:

• Plan and lead meetings with municipalities, local authorities and agencies.
• Develop and follow up specific applications and approvals.

Organizational:

• Coordinate between Engie project team and local authorities, government and agencies.

Planning & Delivery of Work:

• Plan and manage government relations activities, including securing special licenses and permits.
• Coordinate with relevant agencies to arrange in-house and external events, meetings, and other functions.

Key relationships

Key relationships are as follows:

Internal:

• Project teams (BD, construction, legal, HR departments)

External:

• Governmental and non-governmental authorities, specifically Abu Dhabi and al Ain municipality authorities.
• Other agencies and advisors.

Required Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Higher Diploma/Bachelor's degree in business administration, communication or a related field.

Experience:

• At least five years of experience working as a Relationship Manager or in a similar role in the Abu Dhabi municipality.
• Proven experience in public relations and a strong understanding of UAE labor laws.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English and Arabic.
• In-depth understanding of office management procedures and departmental and legal policies.
• Proficiency with UAE government online systems and familiarity with CICPA processes.
