Context and Missions:
The Junior Developer will develop new feature on existing GEMS Tools and create new efficient application to support business in order to save time, avoid operational risk, integrate new corporate API, etc.
Working alongside the small development team to create the in house, bespoke applications whilst working with the latest technologies and helping with the future development of the IT team.
Delivering across the full software development lifecycle, writing high quality code that is mainainable for future use.

The main responsibilities are:
• Working on the design of new software modules and enhancements
• Automation of Internal Process
• Monitor the IT platform and execute the associated actions when alerts are raised
• Analysing and documenting business requirements for software changes
• Follow up on the evolution of the IT platform (release) and adapt procedures
• Self-organize continuous learning on the IS systems and landscape
• Process local user support requests (configurations, assistance, etc)
• Understand needs of the teams and develop in collaboration with them

 

Background:
Master's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology

Essential:
• Good knowledge of Object Orientated Programming, backend services and Computer Science fundamentals
• Ability to write clean code (Python, .NET C#, SQL, etc)
• Understanding of environment (Windows) and deployment workflows
• Follows best practices in data querying and manipulation to ensure data integrity
• Experience with version control system (GIT, Devops, etc)
• Experience of software development lifecycle both Waterfall and working within an Agile environment

Desirable:
• Understanding of Front End workflows
• Understanding of JavaScript/jQuery/UI, AngularJS, Bootstrap), HTML5, CSS3
• Understanding of REST/Web API
• Ability to work with databases (MS SQL Server, Oracle) - Development of tables, stored procedures on SQL Server
• Experience with Power BI is a plus
• Communicates information to technical and non-technical audiences effectively
