Engineer / Sr. Engineer - Civil
Purpose Statement
The Civil engineer will be responsible for supporting the EPC Construction / Project Manager on all aspects of construction management on site of assigned projects. He establishes project objectives and procedures pertaining to all civil work, maintains operational liaison with all contractors, direct and monitor construction activities, ensure safety and quality by providing direction to all contractors, subcontractors, labours and suppliers with necessary support from the Construction Manager / EPC team in the head office.
Main responsibilities
The overall responsibility for site management and execution of all the civil works on site:
- Overall responsibility for successfully delivering Civil works to include all Field Engineering, Local Procurement, Construction, Commissioning phases and Handover of the Project;
- Provide timely and accurate civil works related performance on site and status reporting;
- Enforce compliance with all contractual requirements;
- Enforce compliance with all State and Local codes, regulations and requirements;
- Responsible for the application and enforcement on site of the Health, Safety and Environmental policy.
- Enforcement of the Project Quality Control Plan during execution.
- Project progress reporting on daily, weekly and monthly basis.
- Ensure all material reconciliation
- Getting all As-built drawings prepared from the relevant people
- Manage all site claims by contractors, Insurance, etc.
- Handover of the completed site to O&M department
- Prepare the Site Execution planning;
- Identify and Manage risks and opportunities;
- Prepare the Project Execution / Quality Assurance Plan;
- Prepare and apply for the construction authorizations (administrative declarations, road access authorizations, etc.
- Warrant Quality recording of the Project documentation in Sharepoint and / or in other Project Datarooms as required;
- Coordinate the pre-commissioning and commissioning of the asset with the various Equipment suppliers, contractors and Grid Operators.
Education, Experience & Skills
Pre-requisites:
- Bachelor's / Diploma in Civil engineering
- 5 to 12 years of relevant work experience in the site management;
- Proven track record of successfully managing civil works ideally in the solar industry, but could also be in the renewable or conventional energy industry;
- Available for local and international travels
- Be good in English (spoken and written)

Any site in India or Internationally as per Project Requirement. Current Project in Gujarat
