Land Acquisition Manager – Solar & Wind Projects (Gujarat)

What You'll Do
- Identify and evaluate land parcels for solar, wind, and hybrid renewable energy projects across Gujarat and other key states
- Lead due diligence on land parcels through law firms, including ethics checks on landowners and aggregators
- Appoint and manage land aggregators in line with company legal policies to secure land rights, leases, and permits
- Negotiate and finalize land lease agreements in compliance with local regulations
- Manage relationships with local communities, internal teams, and international stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
- Oversee land acquisition activities during development and construction phases, and support the O&M team on land-related matters
- Ensure timely internal reporting and secure approvals for payments to aggregators and landowners
What You Bring
- Minimum 10 years of experience in land acquisition within the renewable energy sector
- Strong knowledge of land laws, connectivity regulations, and acquisition frameworks in Gujarat
- Proven experience managing end-to-end land acquisition for solar, wind, or other renewable energy projects
- Solid understanding of project development processes, including site selection, permitting, and construction
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to collaborate across cross-functional and multicultural teams
- Willingness to travel extensively and temporarily relocate to project regions as required
