Purpose of the Job
Monitor, analyse, challenge & report financial and operational results of our assets, within the values, compliance principles, policies & rules of ENGIE and according to its strategy & goals.
Take a leading role in the delivery of group requests with major focus on MTP, business reviews, support function data requests, environmental & early warning reports.
Act as transformer & change manager thereby optimising inter- & intra-department interactions & flows of information. Actively support GET deployment as (Super) key user for FP&A team.
Become ENGIE India’s reference point for IFRS expertise & group reporting standards.
Provide support to (junior) business controllers during daily operations.
Key Activities
- Take an active role in monitoring and reviewing financial matters across the assets and provide advisory to the head of FP&A, CFO & business teams.
- Steer yearly budget and medium-term plans, business reviews, support function data requests, environmental & early warning reports.
- Manage within-year re-forecasts, risk and opportunity analysis & KFI/Budget trackers with stakeholders thereby challenging, inquiring & consolidating info across the organisation.
- Implement efficient, standardized & compliant processes within the finance function for qualitative inflow & processing of financial data (incl. cash flow projections).
- Be accountable for data retrieval, analysis, consolidation and reporting. Ensure SMART and MDT Reporting is accurate, complete and reported in a timely fashion.
- Active role in transitioning from local GAAP to IFRS reporting for related business matters. Ensure local (IFRS) compliance with finance & accounting policies of group in a collaborative manner with accounting team.
- Mentor & guide (junior) business controllers within the team throughout daily operations.
- Coordinate with HQ & GBU team members on consolidation adjustment & other finance related matters.
- Coordinate performance processes (FFG/Perf Op)
- Provide support to AIFA (during yearly impairment testing exercise) & tax team.
- Produce ad-hoc analysis & support as required by stakeholders / internal clients.

Qualifications
- CA or valuable MBA
- Recognised accountancy qualification.
Experience
- Min 8 years’ experience in Finance within financial Control, Business Control, AIFA or equivalent.
- Experience of external audit with significant audit firm and experience within the renewable energy sector is highly preferable.
Knowledge and Skills
- Familiar with complex organizations (multi-cultural, wide geographical scope, multi-disciplinary, listed subsidiaries, or with minority interests or strong partners)
- High level of comprehension of IFRS.
- Strong knowledge of finance (business control, international accounting standards and consolidation, tax regulations, financial analysis, valuations, etc.)
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong team player.
- Strong soft skills (communication, negotiation, etc.)
Business Understanding
- Knowledge of the business models and risk allocation schemes applicable to long-term project financed assets (independent power producers (IPP) schemes) preferable.
Language
- Strong and excellent communication skills in English.
Location/Travel
- Based in Viman Nagar, Pune, India with flexibility to work from home.
