Financial Advisor – Project Finance (AMEA)

We are looking for a Financial Advisor to join our AIFA – AMEA team. In this role, you will drive financial modeling, valuation, and project financing for greenfield and M&A transactions across India, the Middle East, and Africa. Your expertise will directly support investment decisions that bring clean energy to millions.
What You'll Do
- Lead financial modeling, valuation, and risk analysis for greenfield and M&A renewable energy projects across the AMEA region.
- Prepare, review, and audit complex financial models while ensuring compliance with investment guidelines and methodology.
- Analyze financial risks, accounting impacts, and tax implications of proposed transactions.
- Support or lead the structuring and execution of project financing plans, including selection of banks and funding institutions.
- Advise on risk allocation, bankability, optimization, and tax structuring for new projects.
- Supervise, train, and coach junior team members, particularly on financial modeling and technical skills.
- Contribute to internal procedures, medium-term planning, budgets, and non-project activities such as impairment tests and lookbacks.
What You Bring
- A Finance degree, or a professional qualification such as CFA, CIMA, ACA, or ACCA.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in project finance and financial modeling.
- Proven expertise in complex financial modeling and valuation methodology.
- Advanced Excel proficiency, including basic Macros.
- Strong analytical and commercial acumen with understanding of accounting and tax structures.
- Excellent communication skills in English; Arabic or French is an advantage.
- Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and deliver to fixed deadlines while mentoring others.
- Understanding of the IPP model, power business, and banking processes in India, the Middle East, or Africa is a strong plus.
Location
- Primary work location: Pune or Mumbai, India.
- Working arrangement: On Site.
- Travel to the Middle East and Africa region is expected as per project requirements.
