Purpose of the Job

 

To ensure adequate governance and control on implementation of SAP projects in India, there is a need to appoint a qualified Techno-Functional SAP Administrator with Project management skills.

 

Job Summary: The SAP Business One Administrator will be responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of SAP Business One applications. The role includes providing technical support, training end-users, and coordinating system enhancements, upgrades, and roll-outs. The administrator will also liaise with overseas ERP teams to align business needs.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Technical Expertise in SAP B1
  • Strong Functional knowledge of Procurement to Pay Process.
  • Finance Process knowledge
  • System Maintenance: Ensure the optimal performance of SAP Business One systems.
  • User Support: Provide training and operational support to end-users.
  • Process Coordination: Coordinate and test system and process enhancements.
  • Upgrade Management: Oversee upgrades and roll-outs of new features.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Work with overseas ERP teams to synchronize business processes.

 

SAP Business One Configuration and Maintenance:

 

  • Proficiency in configuring and maintaining SAP Business One systems, including user roles, permissions, and system settings.
  • Knowledge of system parameters, company setup, and data management.

 

Database Management:

 

  • Experience with database platforms such as SAP HANA.
  • Ability to perform database backups, restores, and optimizations.
  • System Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
  • Monitoring system performance, identifying bottlenecks, and resolving issues promptly.
  • Troubleshooting technical problems related to SAP Business One modules.

 

User Support and Training:

 

  • Providing technical support to end-users, addressing queries, and assisting with system-related issues.
  • Conducting training sessions for new users and ensuring smooth adoption of SAP Business One.

System Upgrades and Enhancements:

  • Managing upgrades, patches, and new feature roll-outs.
  • Testing and validating system changes before deployment.

 

Integration and Interfaces:

 

  • Understanding integration points between SAP Business One and other systems
  • Security and Authorization:
  • Implementing security measures, defining user access levels, and ensuring data confidentiality.
  • Managing user roles and authorizations.

 

Reporting and Analytics:

  • Familiarity with SAP Crystal Reports for creating custom reports.
  • Extracting meaningful insights from SAP Business One data.

 

 

Server Administration:

  • Basic knowledge of server administration (e.g., Linux-based server components).
  • Monitoring server health and performance.

 

Business Process Alignment:

  • Collaborating with business stakeholders to align SAP Business One processes with organizational needs.
  • Participating in process improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate with key stakeholders (Internal & External) for development and management of SAP B1 practice, SAP B1 Roadmaps and Migrations
  • Project management experience is must

 

Qualifications and work experience:

 

  • 8-10 years of proven work experience in managing SAP projects, preferably SAP B1, in India and internationally. With min 5 years relevant exp into Techno functional part.
  • Technical experience is required.
  • Should be able to do the minor/medium technical changes on SAP system.
  • Prior experience of implementing SAP.
  • Good knowledge and experience of local regulatory compliance requirements of India, more specifically related to finance, accounting, tax and reporting.
  • Experience with HANA database platforms.
  • Knowledge of SAP Crystal Reports.
  • Familiarity with Linux-based server components and service layers.

 

Language

 

    • Conversant with written and oral English language.
