Electrical Field Quality - Assistant Manager – Solar PV Projects

As our Electrical Field Quality Assistant Manager, you will be the guardian of quality excellence on site. You will ensure that every electrical system meets the highest international standards, delivering reliable, defect-free solar assets that perform for decades.
What You'll Do
- Develop and implement site-specific Electrical QA/QC plans aligned with IEC, IS, IEEE, and ISO 9001 standards.
- Supervise inspection, testing, and commissioning of PV modules, inverters, transformers, switchgear, SCADA, and transmission systems.
- Monitor contractor and subcontractor execution to ensure adherence to approved drawings, BOQ, and quality specifications.
- Drive non-conformance reporting, root cause analysis, and timely closure of all quality issues.
- Conduct site audits, witness tests, and inspections during pre-commissioning and commissioning stages.
- Mentor site engineers, quality inspectors, and contractors on best practices and quality-first execution.
- Act as the primary interface with clients and consultants on all electrical quality matters, delivering clear reports and risk assessments.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 7+ years of experience in Electrical QA/QC on utility-scale solar PV or EPC projects.
- Strong expertise in electrical systems including string/central inverters, transformers, switchyards, and transmission lines.
- Proven ability to enforce QA/QC processes per ISO 9001, IEC, IS, and IEEE standards.
- Hands-on experience in inspection, testing, and commissioning of large-scale electrical installations.
- Excellent stakeholder management, leadership, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, QA/QC documentation tools, and project management practices.
Location
This is an on-site role based at our utility-scale solar PV project sites. You will be deputed directly to the construction site to ensure continuous quality oversight throughout execution and commissioning phases.
