As a Site Health & Safety Assistant Manager, you will lead H&S excellence across our O&M and construction sites. You will shape a proactive safety culture, protect lives, and drive continuous improvement in one of India's fastest-growing renewable energy portfolios.
What You'll Do

- Conduct regular site audits, identify non-conformities and opportunities for improvement, and implement effective corrective action plans.
- Lead incident investigations, ensure timely reporting, and drive root-cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
- Foster a strong safety culture among contractors, partners, and site teams through training programs, mock drills, and H&S committee meetings.
- Monitor and enforce critical safety systems including Permit to Work, LOTO, and risk assessments across all site activities.
- Prepare and analyze weekly, monthly, and yearly HSE statistics and reports, delivering actionable insights to the Cluster HSE Manager.
What You Bring
- A Degree or Master's in Science or Engineering with relevant safety work experience.
- Government-recognized Advanced Diploma in Industrial Fire & Safety (ADIS) and NEBOSH Diploma or Certificate.
- 8 to 12 years of proven H&S experience in O&M or construction for renewable energy or industrial projects.
- Strong knowledge of Indian H&S regulations and industry standards.
- Effective managerial skills to handle dynamic site situations and lead diverse teams.
- Proficiency in MS Office, data analysis tools, and reporting.
- Fluency in English and Hindi, both spoken and written.
Location
This is a site-based position in India (On Site). The role involves travel to other construction and O&M sites across India, sometimes at short notice.
What We Offer
- A competitive salary package aligned with your experience and expertise in the renewable energy sector.
- A diverse range of missions across multiple sites, keeping your work stimulating and impactful every day.
- Clear career growth within ENGIE's global renewable energy business, with access to international best practices and development programs.
- A friendly, collaborative work environment where safety professionals are valued as key business partners.
- Flexibility in managing your priorities across sites, with support from a dedicated cluster HSE team.
